Thanksgiving Travel
November 25, 2007

Airlines are handling 20 million passengers, up about 4% from last year, despite this year of record delays. Michele Perry is a travel expert for TripAdvisor.com and joins me to talk about all this. So, Michele, thanks for your time. I know AAA says 80% of travelers are avoiding the airport so they’re driving this Thanksgiving. When is the busiest time on the roads for Americans? Michele Perry: TripAdvisor completed a survey and we found more people are driving this year than flying, about 60% are driving. Travelers have gotten savvier about when to travel and it really started to get busy Tuesday and Wednesday and even Thursday morning were very busy.
