This ‘Queen’s Necklace’ is a beautiful drive along the coast of South Mumbai stretching from Nariman Point in the south to Malabar Hill in the north. The sea-facing promenade offers a favourite break time for Mumbai locals – college students, families, couples, tea & coffee vendors, foot and head massagers and photographers often flock to gossip or just gaze at the skyline. The views during the monsoons (June till September) are particularly breathtaking. Studded with Chowpatty Beach for its lip-smacking street food, Bachelor’s for its unique ice creams and India’s oldest aquarium, at night the streetlights along this drive enhance the dramatic arch of the bay.
Famous landmark in Fort area. You get to experience the pulse of Mumbai if you just stand at this junction during office time.
You can't get into the fenced enclosure but walk around it.
View in the nighttime is better as its all lit up nicely.
Curries in the thali were all tasty & replenished several times. A la carte curry was also tasty & hot. Lots of members of staff & felt that some were just stood watching us eat, slightly uncomfortable.
After all these years, it still serves good food but in the past few years, the food has become a little sweeter compared to what it used to be. Now the gravy for their sizzler comes on the top instead of being mixed and sometimes even need to ask for extra as the quantity has reduced. However, their Cheese Fondue...

Visited this lovely place after several years. We were surprised to find that little had changed. The old charm was intact(except for the addition of a bakery to the left), especially the kona coffee that beats any other kind of coffee, except Peet’s coffee, Seattle. The samosas were as crunchy n spicy as always, and the service was as courteous...

"A stroll along Marine Drive, a beer at the Intercontinental for the view? Why not....."

We only went for a cold drink but stayed for nibbles and a few drinks, beer coldly resting in the inevitable ice bucket. The view from the 2nd floor? restaurant was excellent as were the attentive waiters, I think we were the only customers just then. Cold Fosters Lager again as I recall, or was a Kingfisher? My wife's Bombay...
A simple yet lovely hotel. The location is phenomenal. Right next to Marine Drive. And 2 minute walk from Churchgate station.
Great service too.
One more great thing was their morning breakfast. Very good and filling.
