Home to more than half a million residents, Uskudar on the Asian side of the Bosphorus is one of Istanbul’s most densely populated neighbourhoods. Once a Greek colony, later a haven for people from across the Mediterranean and the Middle East, this gateway to Asia has been an active and diverse hub for eons. Still, visitors to Uskudar are often more overcome by its myriad treasures than by its many thousand residents. And with fairytale settings such as the “Maiden’s Tower” as well as grand examples of Ottoman Era architecture, plenty of parks, a gorgeous and lengthy coastline, and some of Turkey’s holiest sites, there’s no end to the sightseeing possibilities. Easily reached from the city’s European shores via a steady network of ferries, time spent in Uskudar reveals a “real life” Istanbul that many who experience find extremely fascinating.
Although getting there from the europe istanbul is a bit hard and you will have to walk up the hill to get there but its really worth it the view is wonderfull i advise people to get there before sunset so you can see both sunset and the lights at night the food there is good and cheap compared to...
At the Beylerbeyi you can feel history. Beylerbeyi means „Lord of Lords“ and the palace located in Üsküdar (Asian part) in Istanbul. It was built in the 1860s as an Imperial Ottoman summer residence. While you are there you should take the time and take a walk through the park which belongs to the palace. It is right next to...
Its a fine dining restaurant, located on the water front giving a beautiful view of the Bosphorus bridge while having your meal, in particular at night when the bridge is lit up.
The system is to choose your fish from the shelf and then customise your dish according to your taste.
An excellent place for sea-food lovers and strongly recommended.
Very nice restaurant with wonderful view of Bosporus and the bridge. The quality of the food is excellent, service very attentive, whole Ambiente very pleasant. Very recommendable for both meat and fish dishes. The menu has both European-style and Turkish dishes.
The best Doner in Istanbul.
Very high quality and always delicious Doner. tasty lentil soup and delicious Kunafe :))
If you want to try a real Doner and Iskender Kebab, it is the best choice.
Very nice boutique hotel. Cozy, clean, calm, friendly staff. There is amazing view to the European site of Istanbul and the bridge connecting Asian and European site. The food is magnificent. Only negative part is that is far from main attractions.
Very peaceful, simple and relaxing boutique hotel with an amazing view , great reception from utkan and all the other staff .
Im very satisfied perfect getaway for 2-3 days . Location is really good close to restaurants and cafes .
The music in the reception is relaxing and enjoyable too .
Helpful Staff. Room and bathroom were clean. In the hotel was quiet. Tasty breakfast was avery morning. The hotel is located 5 minutes from the Agibadem Altunizade hospital, the shoping centre Capitol, the underground and the bus stop. The hotel very comfortable.
For a business stay this hotel is enough and good. In general the Turkish Standard in Istanbul is a little disappointing, but you can not complain at this hotel.
What I liked:
- clean room
- comfy bed
- friendly staff
I didn’t like:
- bad service at bar
A very clean and well presented hotel. The staff are very helpful and spoke good English. The breakfast was typically Turkish in style and was very enjoyable.. The gym was well kitted out and not very busy.
