Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
Rahmi Koc Museum is one of the best museums in Istanbul for anyone at any age. It is such a unique and magnificent experience that one may have at a museum. The amount of collected items and the stories behind each and every one of them is amazing. From the collection of cars to a submarine experience it is a...
Recommended by a well read friend. Certainly worth a visit. I hadn’t read the book at the time of our visit but with the audio, which is a must, soon had our attention. Have now read the book and there is certainly some lessons in all of this.
Collect anything you like and do it with dignity. Great story!
The mini buildings are beyond amazing, you can definitely see how much work and effort went into making this place. If anyone visits Istanbul, this is definitely a site to see! It was a good price of 15TL and has a clean restaurant for food/tea. There is a bus stop just right outside the entrance and you are able to...
Every time I visit Istanbul I try to fit in a visit to The Pera Museum. In the permanent exhibitions area one can always discover new things to admire. The website of the museum is excellent and gives information on current exhibitions and also entrance fees and visiting hours. On a Friday after 6pm entrance is free for everybody. Do...
The Bosphorus Bridge is just a bridge, really, but its importance lies in that it's a suspension bridge, joining the Asian and European parts of Turkey. It looks quite nice during the day and lovely at night.

"A wonderful location in downtown Istanbul/Beyoglu"
reviewed yesterday by Claude K
Thrilled by this unique and iconic atmosphere we spent an unforgettable evening at 1994 Istanbul. And the food was very good, the dessert with liquid chocolate and the vodka lemon even better. The live background music made you feel back to the beginning of the 20thst century. The staff was very nice and always attentive. A "must go" in Istanbul...

"Best Pizza in town"
reviewed 1 week ago by İdris A
Pizza is one of my favorite food. But good Italian-style pizza is hard to find in Istanbul. After being dissappointed by a lot of places I found my favorite pizzeria. Prices are ok, quality is excellent, wine sortiment is big. If you enjoy pizza like me, this is the place to visit!
This cafe is wonderful and I highly recommend visiting. It's so unique and we really enjoyed our experience. The coffee and apple tea were to a very high standard. We'll definitely be visiting again on our next visit to Istanbul. This cafe is a 1/2 minute walk from the Galata Tower which has great views of Istanbul.

Who knew that Turkish wine could be this amazing
Come here and find out. Great selection of delicious wine, which would challenge the best that Western Europe has offer. Very reasonably priced with good service
Not touristy at all, this is a connoisseur’s place.
I am living in Istanbul and like to go there for eating or having a glass. The waiters are super nice, the food is excellent and the music too. The bar propose lot of alcool. I adise to go if you come in Istanbul. (breakfast, lunch or diner)

Stayed at Witt hotel for a week with my wife and our 18 months old child. Service was great and the hotel is very good with small children. Staff provided a baby bed, baby chair for breakfast - and were generally very helpful. Room had microwave and small kitchen which is also very convenient if you are travelling with small...
I loved this hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful from reception to breakfast. Amazing view from the restaurant. Huge room with Jacuzzi bath and separate large shower. Great location close to shopping and nightlife. Only downside is the climb up the hill to get there but that could also be considered a plus as you get your daily...

Perfect for short stays as the Hotel is compact, but the rooms are a generous size and I loved the art in the room. The reception staff speak perfect english and were so knowledgable and helpful. The Hotel provided us with a phone which provides a wifi hot spot for your own phone, this was very useful. The metro and...

The very helpful and friendly staff, led by the Manager (Mustafa), Mursel and others, get 5 stars for excellent customer service. Even before our arrival, Mustafa promptly responded to my emails and arranged an airport pick up, which was hassle free.
As the name says, this hotel is Next 2 the most visited tourist location in Istanbul - Taksim Square...
