Known as Bangkok’s hippest neighbourhood, Thong Lor and Ekamai is where the city's well-dressed and well-heeled spend their nights sipping cocktails in hidden speakeasies and posh restaurants. Live it up in one of Thong Lor's extravagant clubs and be prepared to brush shoulders with a Thai celebrity or two. While great for a night out, the area is nothing short of interesting during the daytime, either. Expect a mix of savvy coffee shops, pop-up bars and loads of vintage stores, brought to you by hip locals with eyes for design.
This temple is well know amongst the Thai people for funeral purpose, but also for paying respect and wishing good luck for anniversaries or other occasions. Peaceful during the day time and busy in the evening.
The 3rd best Pad Thai in BKK is here. There is also a Soup Dumpling stall and the Mango Sticky Rice place I like very much here too. (All residing on the right open space, 15m from Sukhumvit)
Walking away from Sukhumvit there is a Keuh Chap stall on the right side (almost towards the end) which I like very...
This place has play areas suitable for children from crawlers to walkers:)) We all had a great time! However, the only minus I found was that their cafe shop only sells snacks and drinks which contain high amount of sugar! Why? It’s a place for children to learn. The Twelve Hotel looks as good as expected. A hidden gem in the city, the hotel’s front yard with blossoming trees definitely adds more beauty to its tranquil ambience. We stayed at the king suite, the room is stylish and spacious, bed is comfy. Bathroom is the highlight, bathing in the big tub under plenty of gentle sunlight is absolutely...
This is the hotel to stay for both private and business.
Location: in the cool thonglor area with all the nice bars and cool restaurants. Even the hotel has own awesome rooftop bar. 5min walk from bts station.
Room : big modern with city view. The big bathtub is a big bonus.
We were really happy with our stay at Akyra Thonglor from start to finish. Location is perfect if you want to be in the very trendy area of Thonglor, with plenty of bars and restaurants in walking distance from the hotel. It is a bit of hike from Thonglor BTS station. However, the hotel do offer free shuttle service to...
I was on a 4D 3N business trip to Bangkok over the weekend and my boss (I was with him) decided on a 1B apartment at Somerset Sukhumvit Thonglor, on the recommendation of our business partners.
- The Somerset was along Thonglor Street, which is similar to Changkat Bukit Bintang in Kuala Lumpur or a waterless Clarke Quay (Singapore),...
