Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
Absolutely loved my visit to the library today with my family. We took the lift up to level 6 for the view and walked down the stairs to visit the current exhibitions. A highlight on level 5 was Ned Kelly’s armour. Level 4’s A world of books exhibition was my favourite though. I loved seeing the beautiful original illustrations of...
As part of the entry price you are shown what it is like to be arrested and locked up in this famous prison. There are also informative displays on the various prisoners that lived and died at the gaol. Worth checking out.
If you are in Fed square this place is great to explore! They have some consistently rotating attractions with at least 50% being interactive! When I visited again today they had a spot were you could try out a VR headset and interact with a virtual world. Also stopped by the Wallace and Gromit expo with is well worth a...
Although resident of Melbourne, I find this place to be a great asset. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and it's a recommended starting-place for finding out what's on in the city, or to get further information and advice about a place or event. I hope it lasts into the next century!
Went to this place as it was close to the apartment we were staying in and at first didn’t have high expectations. But the food was delicious, service was excellent and Mario the chef was so kind to our children. Would go back and definitely recommend.
The best bar in Melbourne! Great atmosphere, think NY Speak Easy, great music, inventive and spectacular cocktail and a huge range of whiskies for the most discerning palates. Service is warm and friendly from the expert team although can be a little slow when they are very busy and the back room is occupied by large groups. We will be...
What an awesome find. Gorgeous little authentic French crepe cafe. We sat inside which added to the ambience as all three staff conversed in French. The sweet and savoury crepes we had were delicious and well priced. Coffee was great too. Added bonus was that they were gluten free.
Another great stay at QT Melbourne, the staff are always welcoming and fun. location is sensational being very handy for shops and some of Melbourne's best restaurants, will be back again soon.
Our room was on the 5th floor with great city views of rooftop bars
After traveling 10 hours from Myanmar and arriving to Adelphi, I was ready to just crash. However, the front desk staff was super bright and chirpy and her vibe was so positive, it lifted my spirits up. She was super helpful and made sure I was all good. I couldn't check-in because the room was not ready, but she was...
Wonderful stay in the heart of Melbourne. Comfy & welcoming. Great extra perks, staff most helpful. Enjoyed the room, and easy walking around the city. Convenience store close by, and many restaurants
This was the second time we have stayed at St Jerome's the Hotel -and the second time we couldnt fault it at all. from booking through until checkout every experience was a great one. Friendly, professional staff, gorgeous and clean tents with everything we needed and an amazing view of the city!
