A 40-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay will take you to the famous northern beach of Manly. The beaches here are perfect for learning to surf or spending the day sun-tanning. The walk from Spit Bridge to Manly is a great way to experience Sydney Harbour Bay and the Australian bush land. Along the foreshore, there are plenty of watering holes and wine bars with excellent cuisine. There are plenty of kid-friendly restaurants as well, especially along the family-oriented areas like Shelly Beach. An excellent way to experience Manly is to rent a bike and explore the dedicated bike paths and off road trails. The North Head National Park is another must-see. Located on the southern tip of Manly, North Head National Park offers great bushwalks and panoramic views of the city.
Pristine area. We walked from the Q Station, through the bush land and entered into the upper car park. We then walked to Manly and Queenscliffe by the water. There are coffee shops and eateries along the way.
Brandon was an amazing tour guide he did a great job taking us around. For me, this was a very scary tour as I felt a hand touch me in the gravediggers cottage and saw a Ghost/Shadow walked past me in the shower blocks. some rooms were less scary then others the most scary were the shower blocks, Gravediggers cottage...
They helped us plan our week of activities. Gave us maps and explained the walks to us and roughly how long they would take. Plenty of local knowledge. Gave us heaps of ideas what to see and do. The walk from Manly beach to Shelly Beach then onto North Head Sanctuary was fantastic
What a great place to eat breakfast. If you are looking for a change from bacon and eggs this is the place. Small, quaint, great service and innovative food, this rapidly became our “go-to” breakfast haunt.
For what this place does it takes top marks.
We had an absolutely outstanding family meal, both pizzas and pasta dishes, and there was a lovely authenticity and homeliness to all the dishes. The value for money was outstanding,
Service was good - although it took a little while to warm up - and the venue itself whilst tucked away...
Have stayed at the Manly Quest several times over the years, when visiting from U.K. Whilst Manly is away from the bustle of Sydney it is very convenient to get to Circular Quay on the ferry. Manly Quest is excellently sited, convenient for all attractions and transport links and it is always a pleasure to stay in these apartments. The...
We had a room in the South Tower with a large balcony & had great views through to the beach. This is a great location to use as a base to walk around Manly. You can walk around to Shelly Beach & up to the lovely reserve which has iconic ocean views & we were really fortunate to see an...
Pleasantly surprised on an upgrade on check in. Staff very helpful. Unique experience considering the history and location of the property. Fantastic vistas and lots of natural wildlife to experience. Breakfast option very harty. Almost private beach. 24/7 transfers around the property commendable. Rooms very nicely appointed. Some maintenance issues highlighted to reception.
The 2 bedroom apartment is the way to go here. Just way more spacious. The oceanfront rooms offer the gorgeous view of the Manly beach which is something pretty special. It’s very central. Brekky is great. A few issues with omelette order mixups, but staff were apologetic.
The location of this place is great, right on the beach.
The room was clean although the bathroom was tiny. Great for 1 or 2 nights but I think you'd struggle for space if you stayed longer.
There was a basic kitchen area but served the purpose fine.
Only criticism was the windows are single glazed so you can hear...
