A 40-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay will take you to the famous northern beach of Manly. The beaches here are perfect for learning to surf or spending the day sun-tanning. The walk from Spit Bridge to Manly is a great way to experience Sydney Harbour Bay and the Australian bush land. Along the foreshore, there are plenty of watering holes and wine bars with excellent cuisine. There are plenty of kid-friendly restaurants as well, especially along the family-oriented areas like Shelly Beach. An excellent way to experience Manly is to rent a bike and explore the dedicated bike paths and off road trails. The North Head National Park is another must-see. Located on the southern tip of Manly, North Head National Park offers great bushwalks and panoramic views of the city.
Such a shame this place is closing if I had the amount of money they need I would defo keep this place open it’s spectacular and me and my partner ended up speaking to a lush women as she was supervising the shark dive and she was great fun to listen to would reccomend while you can go!!!!!
This is a great place to hike, see views and learn some history. There are actually free tours by volunteers that explain what you are looking at. I really enjoyed my time and learned something about Australian history.
A former quarantine station now upgraded to a luxury hotel, this is a fun experience with fantastic views of Sidney harbor! Great on site restaurant and a very helpful staff. Need to take a ferry to access Manly or Sidney, but it's easy and fun to do!
Visited last month with my wife and toddler. The main tank has some beautiful sting rays, sharks and turtles to see. Their is also a number of other interesting tanks and the chance to dive with sharks! A little kids play area helps keep the monsters under control. A shame it is closing at the end of the year.
This is easily the yummies vegan and gluten free food we've eaten in Sydney. Do yourself a favor and take the Manly ferry and check out this Middle Eastern cafe on your way to Shelly Beach. My favorite dish is the Roasted Cauliflower Salad. And our server, Rafaella, was inviting and informative about the menu and the area. Sweet staff....
We had a lovely meal here .
We had not booked but were told have a drink and we can fit you in in about 10 minutes .
Manly is a lovely trip across from Sydney and Garfish is definitely worth a visit.
I tried the snapper pie which was good but ceviche as a starter was my favourite.
Had a wonderful evening at this venue tonight. Very small group. Excellent service, great seating, view of Manly beach. The food menu was excellent something for everyone. Great selection steak, lamb, seafood and pasta with entrees. Cooked and served to perfection.
I have sampled the beer a few times and was happy so while in manly I wanted to try out the Kellar Bar down stairs. (Upstairs is the micro brewery/ pub part) the Kellar bar is the more restaurant part of 4 Pines.
They had a great range of specialty beers on tap. I was very happy with my IPA...
Quest Manly is central to beaches, bus and ferry transport and Coles.
The staff are friendly and helpful and invariably available.
The kitchenette is adequately supplied with dishwasher and sink cleaning aids. The bathroom has a washer and dryer and is provided with detergent.
All usable items, such as tea bags, coffee, milk, detergents are replaced daily, except Sundays.
Our 2-day stay was great. So relaxing and feeling like we were very far away from the busy city. We arrived by the special ferry which made it even more special. The history of this location is absolutely amazing and could be a must-see for school kids and anyone interested in the history of Sydney and indeed Australia.
Manly Pacific is always my first choice when travelling to the area. The location is great, restaurant/bar downstairs is also great. Nothing better than getting out to enjoy Manly after working all day. Reception staff are polite, and the check in process is simple.
The little gift for regulars is much appreciated, bottle of wine and some water, my colleague...
Stayed here for business and staff were very accommodating and friendly. Close to all amenities but not right in the heart of manly. Could walk across from the beach. Good coffee. The only thing I could fault was the breakfast and that’s only because it took a little long and they forgot one of my colleagues. The lady sorted it...
Had two nights three days in Manly that I booked at the last minute and got a Motel Room as most of Manly was booked out. I wouldn't have stayed there if I had a choice but was pleasantly surprised. Room was different, long and skinny but had everything I needed and was very clean. One window looked at the...
