Very accessible by public transport, Coogee is the smaller, friendlier, more intimate version of Bondi Beach. Coogee is the only beach in the Eastern suburbs that does not have big waves, making it an excellent family beach. The Coogee Bay Hotel, located right across the beach, has one of the biggest beer gardens in Australia and plenty of entertainment every night of the week. Be on the lookout for celebrity footballers! A little further south is Wylie’s Baths, offering sweeping 180 degree views over the Pacific Ocean, and it is perfect for a swim or a few laps. Plenty of dining choices surround the beach, including the famous fish and chips.
The park contains the Bali Memorial This is a moving tribute to those who lost their lives in a terrible act. The location is spectacular and the sculpture is moving and a fitting tribute. Well worth taking the time to stop and consider what caused this and the effects of this on the people killed and injured and their family...
I loved this unique venue for a wedding. Great little separate area for the ceremony and then marquees down the other end for the reception. The wedding I attended had about 100 people and it all went really well.
I've been diving with Pro Dive Coogee since 2014 and it's been great.
Everyone in the shop is very friendly and professional and they know how to keep diving fun and safe!
I would also recommend getting on their boat Sea Life V for some of the best diving Sydney has to offer.

Lovely to swim here, late in the afternoon, in the Summer. The view is amazing. You will see fish, interesting rocks, various algae and lot of birds flying over to roost. The nicest part is the cool of the water after a hot day and the beautiful colours of the sky from the setting sun. Lots regular swimmers go here...
Paige has the best hands in the business. Her facials are magical. Next level stuff.
I regularly go for a peel, and treat myself to a facial not nearly enough.
I trust Paige and her soundly advise. Never tries to upsell me, she is charming funny and her space is relaxing and smells divine.
Paige got me to look after...
X74 is a great place to nip in to grab a coffee or a drink or also just as nice a place to get something long term. Their coffee is one of the best in Coogee and they do an amazing mango milkshake. Definitely recommend going there.
After reading reviews and a recommendation by a foodie friend we had breakfast here recently whilst staying nearby, and we were not disappointed.
It is a short walk from the main road in Coogee but well worth it , and therefore overflowing with customers and backpackers as others can be.
The waitresses are all French to add to the experience....
My husband and I spent a two night stay in Coogee. We had the good fortune of booking Sugarcane for dinner on the Friday night. So glad we did. The food is excellent, the ambience buzzy and the service, very good. We had salt and pepper squid (we both thought it was close to the best we've had anywhere) and...

We were pleased with the quick service. The young lady (from Poland... don’t remember her name) serve us with a smile and provided good information about the menu. It is conveniently located and serve wood oven pizza. If you choose a cheese and tomato pizza make sure to know that there is no tomato sauce on it! It is a...
Perfect location. Can do a lot during the day. We enjoyed the coastal walk to Bondi. We will surely book with Coogee Sands again on our next holiday. Complementary parking is absolutely a bonus.Would have been nice to have a bread toaster to complete the kitchen.
We stayed here for 1night as a weekend beach getaway.
Location excellent opposite the Coogee beach, within walking distance to variety of bars, cafes and restaurants. Coogee is buzzing with atmosphere.
Room clean and comfortable with all hotel comforts.
Staff friendly and helpful.
We drove in parking in rear of hotel for $30.
Will definitely return ! 😁
Service and accommodation was very goodRoom was clean and functional, comfortable bedGreat location to beach and plenty of choice with restaurantsWould highly recommend to couples wanting a few days R&R
Room at the side of the building was what we expected for the price, as we are both over 80 we asked for a room with a separate shower NOT one that is in the bath. I suppose that in a way we received this however it was a DISABILITY bathroom, which certainly did not ask for.
The room was...
Location isn’t everything but it helps and the Coogee Beach Hotel has this.
Located so close to the Beach you can watch people catching a wave!
It’s perennially popular and unsurprisingly attractive to younger people.
It’s quite big with plenty of seating alot of which is outside.
It’s popularity can have its downsides especially when trying to order drinks (less...
