The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.

"Amazing and magical place"

I must go if you are visiting Sydney. Also make sure you do the guided tour, it is definitely worthwhile doing. If you like to know more about this place, also try the behind the scenes tour (especially if you are into theatre, music, etc.).
Most of the gallery is free to visit and there are some excellent exhibitions to see. I would recommend taking a free tour to give a better insight into the various artists rather than wandering around aimlessly. The cafe on the ground floor is an excellent spot for a break. The Archibald Prize Collection 2018 are currently on show, it...
I am always interested in things historical but this excellent interactive museum did things really well. Both my 13 year old and 11 year old loved it - as did I. Great cafe too. I recommend the sausage rolls.
My wife had been here in 2017 and raved about it. She had the degustation menu with the accompanied wine flight, and had bought back a copy of the wine list (which the restaurant gives you). I bought a few bottles off the list, and was impressed. We decided to book for a Saturday night, which took some effort. There...
We decided to stop in for happy hour and stayed the night. The bar service was fast, easy and the ambiance lovely. We were given a complimentary glass of wine on arrival.
The table service was very attentive and eager. The meal was delicious... the portion sizes were very large and we ordered way to much. The standout dish was...
Loved this hotel! Parking across the road and right in darling harbour. Loved all the extras the goodies bag, free mini bar, happy hour and free canapés! Really comfy bed and friendly staff! Funky fit out and loved the glass elevator!
"Once again we experienced nothing but the best, rooms were spotless and the views were breathtaking."

It was the first time we had bought our grandchildren to Sydney. They were amazed at the size of the unit and the view from every window. We had a call every night from reception to see if we required anything. This is why we only stay at the Meriton, the staff, the apartments and the best customer service.Thankyou for making our...
The hotel is near to circular quay and shopping store. The bus and train transport to the airport and other place is convenient. The luggage service was excellent. The check-out service was better than check-in service. The room cleaning was very good. However, the tea pot was not clean. The tea bags and coffee bags were not refilled every day.
Brand new hotel. Rooms are extraordinary large and modern. Quality of the service is outstanding. The breakfast is very good, and it is located in the center of the city. The hotel is located in the old headquarters of the Sydney Water Company, and maintains the characteristic style of the office. Great!
A real surprise! We literally walked straight past it because from the outside it looks like a bar or theatre. Once we found it we were pleasantly surprised. It is a quirky boutique style with definite charm and charism. Everything from the elevators, to the lounge area has been thoughtfully considered. Check in was quick and efficient. We did enquire...
