Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
"It was useful to live on Mariahilfer street. Street for shopping, eating. Good location."

We lived in the hotel on this street. This street is not something great from architecture point of view. On Mariahilfer street (including side streets also) there are a lot of shops, restaurants, cafe. It is not far from the most Vienna attractions.
In museum is presented furniture of many architecture styles. You can use audio guide but it was not in so many languages like in Schonbrunne palace or Hofburg. In museum the most interesting, especially for these one who saw Austrian movie Sisi, is furniture from the mentioned movie.During our visit there were not many tourists so it seems that it...
While visiting Vienna you have to go see Spittelberggasse, a beautiful small street with lovely architecture and the streets are paved with small cobbled stones. (bring comfortable shoes). Entering this street it is like going back in time hundred of years, the houses our so charming. Also you can find some nice restaurants around here.

I you think “what - come on - it’s a steak - what’s so special?” - well I can’t blame you....but then you have to try! This was an amazing experience. Not only the quality of the meat. The presentation of it and not least the overall taste! Service was top dollar! One of the best steaks I’ve eaten for...
We tried twice the ice cream and it was fantastic! The dark chocolate is creamy the mango and pear with ginger is soooo delicious and not too sweet. I really loved it. They have also fresh pancakes and other cakes as well in a good quality. Attention! There is a long cue when the weather is good.

You cannot go wrong with this place. The restaurant is located in a very quiet area of Vienna, food is great and reasonably priced. I would also like to praise the staff, as it makes you feel welcome in this little hidden gem.
Would definitely come back!
Would highly recommended! Is a vegan restaurant in beautiful part of vienna, you can go to the bar by self service and they offer everything vegan and organic! The Cheese burger and Swing burger with fries are worth a try, with the meat being Soja Burger and the vegan desserts are delicious.
My husband and I visited this place on our trip to Vienna. The personel was very friendly and had a cool humor. The food was amazing as well, especially the butter chicken. Their Korma was with beef though, and it didn’t really work for us, since we’re used to Chicken Korma. All in all though - a very authentic place,...
Stayed at San Souci Hotel in Vienna in September 2018 for six nights. Smaller boutique hotel - well located. Walking distance or a short taxi ride to most all attractions including historical sites and shopping. We walked 2-3 miles a day trying to see at much as possible. Hotel personnel excellent at booking attractions, meals, etc.
Rooms are clean -...
We spent four delightful nights at the Hotel Alstadt. The artistic design created a one-of-a-kind ambiance and the wonderful staff throughout the hotel exceeded our expectations; it was such a treat to stay here. It is an easy and pleasant 10-15 minute walk to the historic sites. We enjoyed returning home for afternoon tea, followed by a dinner at neighborhood...
