One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
This place is not much of a museum, it is just a very good cheese "shop". The "museum" is just a tiny basement with few cheese related equipment.
But the cheese they offer are very good. So many varieties of good cheese. The staff in the shop are really friendly and helpful.
I would recommend this place to cheese lovers.
After our visit to Anne Frank House, we walked about 160 meters across the canal to visit the Tulip Museum. The front of the museum is a retail outlet and the back and downstairs contains the museum.
There is a €5 admission fee for an adult but if you have one of the Amsterdam tourist cards there is no charge....
When we arrived and went down into the museum, we were really surprised at how small the place was and was wondering how the tour would be 45 mins. However, once Nick started the tour we soon realized that each piece has a story of its own. The minerals are utterly beautiful - it's hard to believe they are natural....
Concept shop on the most beautiful canal in the city where it all comes together - delicious and unique brigadeiros, good coffee, nice vibes and music and amazing people! Definitely worth the experience!

"Fish with style and a buzz!"
reviewed 5 days ago by Andyabz
We had to go here after seeing all the reviews, and were not disappointed. It's a fish restaurant but fish and chips with style! There is always the standard fish (cod) and chips but even that is cooked deliciously. I had smoked haddock and chips with mushy peas and a salad and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff are fun, there...

I had found this on tripadvisor and was a place we were thinking of going to.
Luckily enough we just stumbled across it on one of our days and I said to my husband about it so we stopped off for breakfast.
Really glad we did, the food was amazing and the service was great.
I would highly recommend this...

A perfect meal, an utter treat, unlike anything l have ever had before. With the benefits of enjoying seeing some of the preparation from the bar area. The desert bizarrly perfect, l wouldn't like to spoil it for anyone by describing it here. l enjoyed the five courses option with two wine parings, even the tea was special.
Came here one day and had the falafel plate and the special (spiced cauliflower). God it was good! Generous portions, fluffy hot pita bread, beautifully cooked falafel. Nice drinks too. So we came back two days later and had the beef plate and the roasted vegetables. Even better! Loved every mouthful, love the side salads, loved it all! Service was...

I met staff Andres, Karina and...
This hotel was just right... good location for what we wanted to do, nice staff, and a beautiful canal-view room (ask for the one with the balcony, it's to DIE for!!!). Could it use some updating? Sure. Are the stairs a b*tch? Yes. But roll with it and appreciate it for what it is! It's a canal house, not a...
The staff here are very friendly offering tea and icecream. They let me check out an hour later. Very helpful. The rooms was clean and comfortable. The rooms have character and are decorated in the style of ... well... backstage. I checked in around 1pm (yes room was ready woohoo). I stayed Saturday night ... it want loud at all....
We stayed there three nights during our "weekend get away" to Amsterdam. The first day the toilet in our room broke but the staff promptly changed our room with an upgrade free of charge. I would definitely recommend if you want to spend a nice holiday in a quiet and picturesque neighborhood.
Amsterdam is pricy but for 100euros you expect a little bit more. Beside that, the service is good. The personnel is kind and efficient. The room was clean although a little bit too small (whereas the bathroom was large and comfy).
I believe that for a slightly lower price one might be happy. It was a Saturday night though, so...
