The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
I actually liked this better than Sagrada Familia, partly because it wasn't still under construction and partly because it is more "churchy".
No time to go inside - 15/20 mins wouldn't be enough for me. Would recommend a wander round the gothic quarter whilst in the area too.
My girlfriend and I stumbled into this venue while on our way to the Museum Picasso.
We were attracted by its old world charm and booked seats for the following night.
The price comes with a drink of your choice and the club is small and intimate. The show goes for an hour and was the best flamenco show I...
Museum situated in a very interestingly looking building - there's much more to lay eye on than just canvases. Generally paintings show a great asset of artists technical skills, most of them are portraits what makes the exhibition accessible for everyone.
Museum itself isn't big, however its size is just right for visitors to keep attention and get satisfied. Stuff...
Some reviewers have commented that there are none of Picasso's 'famous' works here....well no...they're all in art galleries and private collections around the world! But what you do get is room after room of Picasso at different phases of his life, with hundreds of his works on display. And whether you think you like Picasso's work or not, you will be...

"Cocktails, food and service all executed perfectly!"

You know when bars advertise slander about serving the 'best cocktails in Barcelona' etc.... They're all wrong, because this modest gem is where it's at! Kenny has a passion for what he does and it's obvious as the effort and care he puts into making cocktails is reflected in the taste. I've been twice now (and plan on going back)...
"Tied with Sagrada Familia for Best Thing in Barcelona!"

I couldn't decide if this was my favorite part of our recent trip, or if it was Gaudi's masterpiece cathedral. It's that good.
The service was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was creative and delicious. We did the tasting menu and I did the wine pairing. I think that's definitely the way to go.
My husband wasn't stoked about their...
This was a great hotel in a very convenient area, located near el Born with 25 minutes walking distance to the beach. Great staff, nice hotel and cool roof-top deck for breakfast, the days and night mingling. Highly recommended.
We got the exterior rooms and they were extremely nice, modern, clean, and had wonderful AC. We stayed in July where it was 95 degrees out, so we relied on air conditioning. The rooftop pool is unbelievable. View is amazing. Drinks from the bar were amazing. The free wine tasting was also a bonus.
The restaurant in the lobby (D'Aprop)...
Amazing hotel, great location and great service. So welcoming and reception have really good knowledge of the local area, including recommendations for restaurants, bars and attractions. The rooftop pool and bar is definitely a highlight, as is the daily “wine o’clock”!
This hotel provides a high quality oasis in the middle of a great city!
If you are looking for a classy hotel close to all the main attractions in central Barcelona then this property takes some beating.
Stayed for 3 nights at the hotel and was fortunate to try out all of the main features. The rooms are a good...
