The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.
This is the best way to see all of Paris from above including the Eiffel Tower
We booked a ticket so we could go during the day and again at night
Definitely the way to go
No queues and easy directions
Fantastic views of Paris
After reading the reviews on trip advisor I was unsure what to expect when visiting the catacombs.
I actually just moved to Paris a month ago and we decided to visit on a Sunday at 3pm, the line was extremely long and I recalled the stories of 3 hour waits that I had read on trip advisor. After 20 mins...
The building itself is interesting but not of a great beauty. But it is very functional in terms of light, airconditioning and accessibiity. There is enough staff for questions and control, all very friendly. If there is an interesting exhibition: just go there. And enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, also of the surrounding area.
Dined solo at Sourire Le Restaurant in December 2017 based on TA reviews. Enjoyed a five course tasting menu for 65E with matching wines 34E. Each course was delicious and the service was attentive. The restaurant is in the 13th and although away from the main areas of Paris, I would recommend dining here.
We absolutely love this restaurant! We dined here last year for my husbands birthday and loved it so much we made a point of celebrating there again this year. The service is very enjoyable and the food is superb.
We chose this restaurant for dinner after a trip up the Tour Montparnasse having seen the reviews online. We were not disappointed, the restaurant is off the beaten track so not many tourists, mainly locals. The staff were welcoming and friendly - happy to assist in English. Food was delicious - I recommend going at the weekend when there are...
Tiny restaurant with simple /clean decoration. Went with a Korean & Spanish friend and we absolutely love it!!! Service was quick and discreet, menu is small but selection is perfect. Get ready to eat fried food though! :)
Found this great place close to our hotel. Well reviewed so we thought we’d try it. Terrific service. Our waiter guided us through the specials and we selected a lamb shank and a beef dish. Both phenomenal! Highly recommended. Very attentive and friendly service.
We loved this little hotel. Location was excellent on a small quiet street close to public transportation. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. On our day of checkout Roman went above and beyond with helping us arrange transportation to the airport. The room was small as expected but had everything we needed. It was immaculately clean. The bed sheets...
Extremely comfortable, very friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfast buffet. Close to the Gare Montparnasse. Nice view on the Blvd Raspail. Good sound insulation. Very good price-quality rapport.
Reality exceeded expectation in this bijoux gem of a hotel. The manager at the front desk was 'charmant' and very informed, interested and exceptionally obliging, full of useful tips and recommendations.
The room itself was compact, but extremely comfortable, the bed, particularly so! The adjoining bathroom with neat shower was cleverly designed to maximise space yet still be efficient. Though...
"Very friendly hotel near much of downtown Paris and very near a subway to everything"

Very nice, clean and friendly hotel in Paris. We spent most of our time away from the hotel but slept very well there in a very comfortable bed and room. If you are traveling around Paris this hotel is near some great restaurants and in a nice area as well. Great and friendly staff!
The location of the hotel is very good. It is close to the RER station. The hotel has air-conditioner. The bath room design is a bit interesting, but it is O.K. The size of the room is reasonable in Paris, I think.
