Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
You have to hand it to the French: they REALLY do cemeteries well. I am part of a cemetery photographing group in South Africa, so a fair part of my trip to Paris was spent in cemeteries. This is bigger than a lot of the little ones, but not as huge as Pere Lachaise. And it is beautiful. I am...
The Espace Dalí is a space that collects the largest collection in France of works by Salvador Dalí. This gallery offers a wisely organized path consisting of monumental sculptures, paintings, drawings and furniture, rich in references to literature and religion.
We ate here on a whim based on the great TripAdvisor reviews. We were hesitant at first because we were only in Paris for a couple nights and wanted to focus on French cuisine, as opposed to South American, but alas, we contacted the restaurant through facebook messenger (their preferred method of making a reservation) and surprisingly secured a last...
"El mejor servicio y los mejores crepes en París!!"
reviewed 2 weeks ago by csegoviar
We were having luch at Rozell Cafe ant it was an incredible experience. It is a small and magical place where you can find delicious savoury and sweet crepes. The service is amazing, friendly and prompt. Than you so much!!
Based on three facts we decided to make a stop here.
One was my daughter wanted to try a Macaroon.
Two, another daughter was asking us to go back to the area to pick up a specific short she saw there.
Three, TripAdvisor gave it rave reviews.
Did not disappoint. They were fantastic and reasonably priced compared to what we...
This is a first class hotel with beautiful, spacious rooms and a stellar rooftop bar that Parisians and visitors come to for its views. I had booked a room with a terrace where my wife and I could sit out and enjoy the views of the City of Lights. Just spectacular. The staff and concierge were all very helpful and...
An excellent visit. Beautiful views. Very busy on Saturday.
The site is great to go to. Worth staying on site and going for evening walks when the crowds have cleared. Food and hotel are expensive but we're a really memorable part of out trip. Word of advice - pack light.
Enormously friendly staff and lovely hotel - very Parisian in the best possible way - quirky! Clean and smoke free room. Will definitely be back! Location in Montmartre is outstanding with loads of lovely boutiques everywhere. If hills aren’t for you then this isn’t a good location. But the hills allowed us to see the Eiffel Tower from our room....
Stayed here in may18 for 6 nights. I cannot fault this hotel in all it’s aspects. Booked it 7 months previous via hotels own website and saved a vast amount even though had to pay up front with no refunds. About two weeks before our stay they emailed me to see if we wanted information on visits, shops or local...
I love this area as well. I used to live here before and had to come back for a concert at La Cigalle, so the location is perfect.
If you like Irish pubs it's perfect too.
Clean rooms, and well sonorised, friendly staff.
Will definitely go back.
Great food and drinks in the restaurant downstairs Au Chat Noir...
