Kunsthalle Seinäjoki is located in the Arts and Culture Centre Kalevan Navetta. The building dates back to the end of the 19th century and is just at itself unique: it was built as barn for over 200 cows by the insurance company Kaleva Ltd. The building never served as a barn, though, but as a baize factory in 1909-1929 and from 1930 onwards as a warehouse for the Finnish army. It opened as the arts and culture centre in May 2020.
