In the Japanese Friendship Garden, they do a good job with the mass plantings. This grouping is on the edge of the lake and it really makes the lake "fit" into the landscape.
The Japanese Friendship Garden is really a special place in downtown Phoenix--not to be missed even if you are not a gardening enthusiast. It is a very peaceful place that is full of beauty and craftsmanship at every turn. The sculptures scattered throughout the garden are vey nice and well done. The lake with waterfalls id=s a real focal point.
The bamboo window detail is a real work of art.
