Bill and Jane Lannagan opened their Gallery by the Square in Tomintoul in December 2003. The quaint little building was built in the 19th century and has been a cobbler’s shop, restaurant and a woodcarver’s shop. Renovated by Bill, it has a delightful airy Gallery area showing traditional, contemporary and Jane’s batik fine art paintings, glazed tiles and art and crafts of other local artists.

We also offer lager, beers, wine, champagne, vodka, gin, port, brandy, sherry and many Scottish liqueurs. There is an extensive gift shop and 18 seater café in our Highland Market serving hot food all day. We offer a full range of Scottish gifts, toys, unique jewellery and country clothing to suit all tastes. All of our products can be bought online. We love reaching out and spreading the word about the fabulous Malt Whiskies of Scotland in their natural state where there is no added caramel for colouring and whiskies have not been chill-filtered for clarity and/or diminished in flavour for consistency.
