    Check out the pier
    We never checked this out, been coming to Daytona for years and couldn’t check into are reservation yet! Finding parking wasn’t too bad so we decided to check it out! Was pleasantly surprised and wanted to check out the pier! There was lots of people fishing and saw some great catches! My wife looked at the end and saw a pod of Dophlin jumping! Made a great impression!

    Great views
    Unless there’s more to the boardwalk than we saw, it’s a bit limited (we’re used to the boardwalks in Maryland, Delaware, and New Jersey). It does have the basics such as salt water taffy, pizza, and retail souvenir shops. The view of the water was wonderful but additional benches would be nice. Parking was relatively close by but I’m not sure whether there’s enough for larger crowds of visitors.

    Worth a visit
    It was interesting walking down the pier and watching the fishermen and the surfers below. There is a restaurant with a roof top bar with great views up and down the beach. The group of stores along the “boardwalk” (its all concrete, except the pier) were interesting to walk through. People seemed to enjoy the food at the restaurant.

    Daytona Beach Board Walk
    The Boardwalk was not like it used to be in the past. Sadly, the hurricane a few years ago most of destroyed it. Daytona Beach is slowly rebuilding it back up. I would not bring my kids here at night. It is very shady with many sketchy people walking around. The positive is that Daytona has stopped many vehicles from going onto the beach/sand area where many people want to lay out, swim, and enjoy without getting in the way of being at the beach. You can see the brown sand from the past of allowing the vehicles on the beach to go up and down and, sadly, it ruins the experience. This was a plus!

    Quick trip to the boardwalk
    First off it was a rainy/ cloudy day, lots of amazing lightning when we went. My husband and I took our 8 children ages 14, 12, 10, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 11 months to Daytona Beach Boardwalk. We were really hoping to be able to ride the slingshot with our teenager but as I stated above it was raining and lightning so it was shut down by the time we got there. It's not located in the greatest of areas, it's a bit rough. You do have to pay for parking but it's only $1.00 an hour which I found to be a very fair parking price. Lots of shops with merch and places to eat along the boardwalk. We may return on a better day but we were warned by locals to not come on any holidays or events especially with children as it's not safe.
