    Don't miss this
As everyone says, this gallery is a must-see. I'm not even close to grasping the complexity of all the wars that accompanied the breakup of Yugoslavia, but this beautifully presented collection distils everything to its core of human suffering. I'm guessing the Ukraine coverage may soon be joined by photos from Gaza. It was a wonderful privilege to talk to photographer Wade Goddard, whose project this is and who was on the desk when we visited.

    Powerful reminder
Stunning collection of photos. A beautifully curated range of shots of conflict and it’s impact on citizens including a floor of photos of the complex conflict of the 1990s. Really sobering, in particular only a few steps from the now restored and peaceful Old Town. Very moving, very powerful exhibition. Not to be missed.

    Wonderful and horrific...
I challenge you not to fear for the human race when you visit here. Such hatred and outrage that we can be so savage to people who are in reality just like us but follow a different deity or whose land we feel we're more entitled to than they are. The Balkan conflict imagery just shows how very recent war can visit us, despite us thinking we are safe. If the EU delivers nothing other than peace in our time, it should be considered a success. Shed a tear and remember...

  • Gornji Ugao Tower Hotels
An excavation on the site of the 'Gornji ugao' tower, in the north-west corner of the walled city of Dubrovnik, in Croatia, uncovered evidence for a foundry established in the second half of the 15th century and largely producing armaments. It is a rare example of this type of industrial site, and its position within the city walls makes it unique. Excavation has provided information on the technical subdivision and spatial logic of the site. Activity at the foundry ceased after the Great Earthquake in 1667, which devastated the entire city, although part of the site continued in use as a foundry, on a smaller and more improvised scale.
