Homeland War Museum Dubrovnik – located in the Fort Imperial on Mount Srđ, which is the symbol of the defence of Dubrovnik. Exhibition „Dubrovnik during the Homeland War 1991 - 1995 has been put on at Fort Imperial with around 900 exhibits. The main themes include Dubrovnik in the Homeland War 1991 - 1995 and the history of Fort Imperial. The Homeland War in the Dubrovnik area was presented within the following themed units: The fall of the Dubrovnik Republic and history of Fort Imperial, The Serbian-Montenegrin aggression in 1991, The days of victory - the liberation actions of the Croatian Army, and the Suffering of the people, civilian buildings and cultural monuments. The exhibits include: documents, art and documentary photographs, weapons, mines and explosive devices, war maps, commands, parts of military equipment, objects from every-day life which belonged to the residents and defenders of Dubrovnik under the aggressors siege, authentic recordings and video material...

An excavation on the site of the 'Gornji ugao' tower, in the north-west corner of the walled city of Dubrovnik, in Croatia, uncovered evidence for a foundry established in the second half of the 15th century and largely producing armaments. It is a rare example of this type of industrial site, and its position within the city walls makes it unique. Excavation has provided information on the technical subdivision and spatial logic of the site. Activity at the foundry ceased after the Great Earthquake in 1667, which devastated the entire city, although part of the site continued in use as a foundry, on a smaller and more improvised scale.

Red History Museum, founded in 2019, is the first official museum in Croatia presenting communist history of Croatia as part of Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. With an interactive approach and a virtual reality content this museum is transformed into educational time capsule for people of all ages. The museum is located on the ground floor of the former factory of carbon graphite products 'TUP' in Gruž (Port of Dubrovnik). Through occasional exhibitions, the museum strives to explore, valorize and highlight the social, design, architectural, artistic heritage, as well as the political and economic system from the socialist period in Croatia and its interpretation in the contemporary context. In this relatively short period of existence, the museum has been recognized by professionals and visitors, and has become an indispensable place in the cultural offer of the city of Dubrovnik.

The Museum of Modern Art Dubrovnik was founded in 1945 and is housed inside the prestigious palace built in 1939 by Dubrovnik ship-owner Božo Banac. It was designed by prominent Croatian architects Lavoslav Horvat and Harold Bilinić. The Museum also manages the Dulčić-Masle-Pulitika Gallery and the Pulitika Atelier in the Old Town. The Museum of Modern Art Dubrovnik has to date managed to assemble a valuable collection of 3,000 artworks of modern art representing South East Europe. The collection covers the visual production (sculptures, paintings and graphics, photographs, videos and art installations) from the end of the 19th century to the present day and its significance goes beyond regional and national levels.
