We finally made it here on a bitterly cold January day and it was a delight. I will be sixty years old tomorrow and I still have my original Tove Jansson moomin books,so it was a dream come true. Everything was perfect,a small exhibition on the top floor and a huge area below with so many detailed line drawings, various tableaux which were so evocative and so many interactive displays. It was hard not to be overwhelmed but I looked at everything and was thoroughly charmed. Highly recommended.

It's always nice to go to moomin museum, especially for the kids. Usually going once there is enough, but there are own creativity rooms and they also offer different things, depending on each month, which is pretty nice. They also have some interactive things. But don't expect too much, yet this is a museum and about moomin and history. But it is nice there, and also relaxing.

I loved our visit to the Moomin museum! I especially enjoyed Tuulikki Pietilä's miniature art based on Tove Jansson's stories. They were truly beautifully detailed. Our 4-year-old daughter was slightly frightened by some parts of the museum because the lighting is very dark. Our favourite bits were the miniatures and the giant version of The Book about Moomin, Mymble and Little My. Well worth the money to visit.
