    An impressive experience
Even if there is still room for improvement in some of the enclosures and the aquariums, and of course one can and should discuss whether and how dolphins and beluga whales can be kept in an aquarium, the Oceanogràfic is simply incredibly impressive and definitely worth a visit. We were here on a Saturday in February, late in the afternoon (4.30 p.m.), after the MSC cruise ships had to return. On Saturdays in the winter months the aquarium is open longer (until 8 p.m.). For us this was the ideal time. Warning: It is really very expensive. €34 per person in the low season! Otherwise even more expensive. My daughter did have a school certificate with her that said she would be attending this school until 2025. However, it had expired and the sentence about attending school until 2025 was not recognized. What a pity. So make sure that you have everything correct and in top condition if you get a discounted entry. They don't turn a blind eye here. Most aquariums are simply huge and beautifully designed. You have to imagine everything on two levels: the pools for water birds, sea lions, turtles, space for restaurants, snack areas, etc. at the top and the aquariums at the bottom. It's always exciting to see where you end up when you go upstairs after a round in the basement. The whole complex is huge, everything is very clean and well explained, although often only in Spanish, otherwise Spanish and English. There is also the option of an audio guide, which has to be paid for separately. We didn't try this. It may be that German explanations are also available here. The areas on the site are sorted into different themes. The accessibility is particularly noteworthy, which also gives people with disabilities and parents with strollers excellent access everywhere. When the dolphin show started at 6:30 p.m., we made our way to the sharks and had this incredibly impressive area almost to ourselves. The aquarium is so big that the sharks manage to swim away "into the blue water" so that you can no longer see them. Unbelievable. Standing alone in these tunnels with just 3-4 other people completely reconciled me with my daughter's full admission. The research and conservation mission that the aquarium has set itself is also evident at every corner. I can't really imagine what it looks like here on a busy day and how long you have to queue for tickets. For us, it was the perfect amount of time. We stood in the ticket queue for about 15 minutes and had a clear view of everything, no queuing, no disruption from too many visitors. Only the restaurants and snack bars were closed, but that wasn't a problem. You should plan 2-4 hours for the visit, depending on how busy it is and whether you want to eat something or not.

    An absolutely fantastic aquarium
Calatrava's architecture! An absolutely fantastic aquarium - it must be said. A house for each "species". However, I have to say it hurts my heart to see Beluga whales, dolphins and penguins (all different species) caged. They should be free - BUT the aquarium serves a purpose in teaching children above all to take care of the environment. Because there is something certain about seeing large sharks whiz by. Worth a visit after all.

    Magic
You need to allow two to three hours to enjoy it. It’s truly a must-see. For all ages . Many activities are offered in addition and at an additional cost. The spaces are very well maintained. Too bad we can't have a French translation.

Great way to spend an afternoon
Amazing place to visit, everything well laid out & easily navigated. Dolphin show was OK but nothing out of the ordinary. All descriptions in English as well as Spanish which helped. All in all an enjoyable afternoon!

    Definitely worth it!
Yesterday I visited Oceanografic. We didn't really know what to expect, because the outside says nothing, but it was bigger than we expected! Friendly staff, well-maintained park and we liked the dolphin show, with the decoration of the quiz and choice of music. We spent more than 3.5 hours there and then we had seen it. A bit pricey for the size of the park (34 euros/person), but still a nice experience!

    Valencia
Beautiful example of architecture and nice to visit once. In any case, València is a beautiful city that resembles Rome. I think it is very busy in the summer. It was already difficult to take a photo of the Valencia letters without people. Also accessible for people who have difficulty walking.

    Gigantic and well-kept aquarium
It can be visited at a price that is not exactly cheap, but the perfect place to go with children and more. Many tanks divided by geographical area. Consider at least three hours to visit everything and also to see one of the dolphin shows held that day.

    Lovely family day out
This is my third time visiting but first with a small child so I was a little apprehensive. There were a couple of pushy tourists walking around who just seemed to be single minded and pushed ahead of a three year old so they could see the animals (and I’m talking about adults here not other children). That said, the staff were brilliant and helped us get a seat for the dolphin show. She loved seeing the beluga but her favourite was the shark tunnel. There’s lots to see and do for a full day. The food at the cafe areas wasn’t the best but almost expected.

    Stupendous
The visit was spectacular, we took lots of photos. I think it is the most beautiful aquarium I have ever seen, fish and algae in spectacular aquariums, birds in the aviary and walruses, flamingos, crocodiles all beautiful. The dolphinium show was also beautiful. Definitely worth seeing.

    Great day out
I loved this place and spent many hours wandering around and exploring all the different areas. There was lots to see and learn about and despite being a bank holiday and it being really busy, we managed to see everything and eat with relative ease. I thought it was fair value for money. My only criticism was it took a long time to queue outside to get tickets and wished I had booked online ahead. Fabulous photo opportunities around.
