A wonderful experience not to be missed!
What a wonderful experience seeing this beautiful garden and lake with such great variety of plants, trees, succulents and stone/rock so artistically placed by a very creative master. The hosts were so welcoming giving of knowledge, coffee break and Port ( for those not driving). A unique experience. It is in the calendar to see again in Spring and Summer.
Thank you Mary for your lovely review. Glad you enjoyed it. Looking forward to seeing you again next year.

beautiful, looked after and very loved garden
I visited this garden with my partner and can confidently say coolwater gardens is one of the most beautiful little ecosystems I've ever seen with my own two eyes. the owners brought us around and taught us all about the different plants they have, where they came from and how they respond to the Irish enviorment. we don't know anything about plants- but questions were encouraged! absolutely stunning spot to spend a few hours. our tour was ended with refreshments and chats in the heart of the garden. 10/10, hope to visit again. lots of love, -Alan and Li
Thank you, Li, for your lovely review. Glad yourself and Alan enjoyed it.

    Hidden Gem
What a gem of a garden. For Alpine enthiasts, it is an absolute must to visit this garden. The owner Kevin definitely knows his plants. Booking essential, but so worth it. Kevin and his garden knock the spots off the RHS in the UK. There is a fabulous pond in the back, with yet more lovely alpines and in incredible alpine house. I am soooooo envious of his space and knowledge. Thankyou
Thank you for your wonderful review, Michael. Not sure about the RHS thing :) but much appreciated anyway. Kevin.

    A Garden Paradise
Excellent experience in a beautiful creative garden. You can meander through various types of trees and plants. There was almost a subtropical flavour to this garden oasis. The owner presented popular container plants and rare and exquisite rock and water plants. Bright yellow splashes of Alyssum, rock jasmine and much much more. However the very large water pond was a magnet to me, drawing my eyes away from beds and borders. Tinkling soothing water sounds filled the air and in harmoney joined the gentle music of wooden garden chimes. Every aspect of this garden had both curious and interesting features: from a floating pergola, (chinese style) to an elevated miranda offering senic views and resting silos to escape a busy world. I loved it, so much to take in.
Thank you Deidre for a lovely review. Glad you enjoyed it and I hope your Coollattin Oak grows big and strong.

    2 hours of Serenity.
This amazing creation is full to the brim with plants, shrubs, trees and stone. An expanse of water punctuated with sculptures and water lillies, it is a privilege to have seen it. Kevin, our host was exceptionally giving of his knowledge and indeed seeds and seedlings. I came away enlightened but mostly calm and relaxed. Thank you Kevin Begly from the 4 members of Galway Flower & Garden Club
Thank you Marian for your lovely review. Glad you enjoyed the garden.

    Fantastic Garden
This is a twenty year old garden with fantastic variety of flowers and plants from all over the world. Kevin and Claire Begley are to be commended for transforming a bungalow site into a wonderland for visitors of the human, bird and animal variety, A knowledgeable tour guide for two hours is great value at 10 euro a head. Not only does Kevin answer all horticultural questions and gives insights to unusual plants, he is a top class raconteur. What a delight to be in his company on a gorgeous afternoon in September topped off by the hospitality of the garden, afternoon tea and port if you prefer. Kevin admits a fondness for rum. With incredibly varied seating strategically located in padogas and hurts, bring your own favourite tipple and experience heaven until the sun goes down.
Thank you John for your lovely review. I'm glad the four of you enjoyed the garden.
