    Fascinating double experience
I took my 12 year old granddaughter and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. My only complaint would be that an hour is too short to take it all in and will definitely return to wander through the various displays at leisure. We coupled it with an equally fascinating tour of the nearby sailing ship the Jeanie Johnston. We had a very entertaining and informative guide. I would highly recommend both of these experiences for all ages particularly for Irish people to gain a greater insight into our own history particularly about the famine era. However it would be of particular interest to anyone with even the slightest ancestral connection to Ireland or none at all!

    Very cool museum
We walked up and got tickets without booking ahead of time. They also give you a "passport" to stamp which is very cute. We were short on time, so we moved pretty quickly through it in about an hour, but you could definitely spend several hours there to read everything. They had a variety of exhibits of movies, things to read, screens to play with. The cool thing is that your ticket is good all day and for the next 10 days, so if you are short on time and still in Dublin, you can revisit it later.

    The best museum in Dublin
It is spectacular. Makes you feel Irish. The staging is magnificent, with dozens of very emotional resources. It covers all facets of what Ireland has been in the 20th century. There are audio guides in Spanish. Super complete. As in all museums and churches in Ireland, if you have to pay you can save some money if you buy your ticket online.

If you're part of the Irish Diaspora, make this one of your stops in Dublin.
I was initially worried that the museum's presentations/displays were going to be too artsy and less informative. However, the underlying theme comes together nicely and ties the different presentations/displays together. Being somewhat versed in Irish history and my own family's experience, I still learned a lot.

Fantastic Museum - Both Tragic & Cheerful
This is a fantastic museum! Until you delve into the sad and tragic history of Ireland, you do not appreciate why so many of their people had to leave. It was fun to move through each area and get your passport stamped - what a clever idea. We were fortunate to be there when it was not crowded - made moving at your own pace possible. It's not all tragic; there are areas about famous Irish people around the world and all the Irish customs and music that many of us know. You can see why this museum has won awards. Bravo!

Best museum in all of Ireland
Easily the best museum we went to in all of Ireland. What an amazing presentation of Irelands contribution to the world and the role immigration and emigration has played. While it is a bit apart from the other attractions in Dublin, it is a must see.

Brilliant experience! Best thing we did in Dublin!
The building was lovely and bright and airy. It was easy to follow the museum trail and the little passport was great fun. I found out so much about the history of Ireland and the famous people who are of Irish heritage. There were lots of different ways to find out information which kept you interested. Good value for money.

    Extremely creative and engaging!
This is a very extensive, very immersive, extremely well thought-out experience. It uses distinct spaces to focus on specific themes, which are uniformly well produced and engaging. The bite-by-bite approach means you're not overwhelmed, but the various spaces never felt crowded. A great variety of perspectives, time periods, emigrant destinations etc. represented. Even our teenagers (one of whom is easily sensorily overwhelmed) were impressed and riveted. You can move through at whatever pace you like - dwell on some themes, move past others. Fantastic experience!

    Expectation not met
I was expecting more. This is probably because I had already visited the Emigrant Museum of Bremerhaven. EPIC is almost completely digital. You have almost no objects but only digital displays or tables. You get a "PASS" at the entrance which you can then have stamped at the 18 stations which you visit. Not only is it informed about emigration in general, but also about the famous Irish and their achievements. Up to Olympian writers etc. The staff is very friendly. An audio guide is available The museum is in the basement. Upstairs are various restaurants and shops.

    IRISH EMIGRATION EXPERIENCE
FANTASTIC visit! We could've stayed much longer than 2hrs! Our tickets allowed us to do a return visit in the next 10 days. The museum covers all aspects of Irish emigration through different periods in history. Well thought out exhibitions in multiple areas. We loved stamping our EPIC "passport" in each area! There are places to eat and drink in the whole complex. We bought double tickets so that we could also visit the Jeanie Johnston" "coffin" ship, moored just across from the museum. Another FANTASTIC visit!
