The resort claims to be on the sunniest plateau in the Alps, and indeed the snow is often lacking, but the views over the Rhône are superb. Every September, the resort hosts the European Masters golf tournament.

On the Polish border, Usedom is an island that holidaymakers adore. Soft sands and beautiful views of the sea make it a delight for sun-seekers. For the elegant experience, tour its coastal towns; for the rugged view, rent a bike and explore the nature park.
