The rooms in the Royal Beach Hotel in Nosy Be are comfortable, but far from luxurious. Some rooms have views of the ocean. TV channels are limited, and the internet is painfully slow if it’s working at all. The service was fine at times, but next to nonexistent at other times. Some of the food is excellent, but the breakfast...

We were in NosyBe for 3 weeks and stayed the last week at the Royal Beach, even though we had already booked and paid for another hotel in the north of the island. We came upon the hotel by chance and they offered us an exceptionally good rate for one of their suites - being low season no doubt helped....

Having stayed at the Royal Beach Hotel about two years back we booked again on our way through to Nosy Kombo. The buildings and the gardens as are great as they were previously. The staff were very shy yet helpful . The disappointment was the food. In the evening, the portions were small and certainly nothing to rave about and the...

We are a family of five and have just got back from 4 days at the Royal Beach Hotel. We chose the Royal Beach Hotel as both a family friendly hotel and an ideal locaton from which do do excusions in Nosy Be with the wonderful Les Baleine Rand'eau. Whale watching, snorkling, and Lokobe Nature reserve. The Hotel is 30...

Unless you experience this for yourself it will be hard to imagine a gem of an establishment like The Royal Beach Hotel existing in Madagascar of all places. From the moment you are collected from the airport the staff personalise your experience. On route to the hotel we remarked on the ylang ylang plantation and the driver stopped to pick...

I visited this beautiful resort in June this year and it was probably the best decision after a round trip in Madagascar. It was not high season and the hotel provided me a nice price reduction for the requested period of 9 days. The resort is amazing, the hotel awesome! Private beach with "private" sun-set! :-) Very nice swiming-pool and...

My husband and I went to Madagascar for a week, and we have no complaints of the hotel. The rooms were very clean and pretty, service was very easy to work with, the grounds must have been worked on 24/7, because they were beautiful! My husband and I did some activities recommended by the hotel; we went snorkeling which was...

I cannot recommend this hotel enough. I stayed for two nights on a business trip. The rooms were wonderful, the air-conditioning and the hot water was perfect. The restaurant served a good breakfast and a wonderful dinner - the fish is perfect and the bread was so good, I thought I was still in France. There is a turndown service...

My Party of 4 was booked into this hotel for just 3 nights during a trip around Madagascar and we have no complaints. The rooms were clean, well serviced and very nice, the grounds well maintained and beautiful, the location gorgeous. Hot water was hit and miss but not a big problem as it wasn't cold enough to be unpleasant!...

As a luxury travel writer for World-Adventurer.com, I've stayed in many resorts around the world. Royal Beach Hotel not only stands out as a luxury resort in Madagascar but competes with some of the best in the world. This is why the Royal Beach is my favorite hotel in Madagascar. Firstly, the staff were simply amazing. From the moment we...
