Superb menu, quality produce perfectly cooked and presented. Very good service from a professional team. Plenty of time to relax, digest, chat. Delightful decor and welcoming atmosphere. This is the standard to which others should aspire. Look forward to the next visit.

Stayed for 2 nights last week using the Clive as a base for walking and also visiting Ludlow. Very comfortable room, really excellent bar and restaurant. The service was courteous and friendly. Next to the Ludlow Food Centre, this is an interesting and convenient place to stay a while. We dined in the bar on our first evening and the...

We were allocated a spacious & spotlessly clean ground floor room with vaulted ceiling & all expected in-room facilities set in an attractive courtyard area behind the main building that houses the restaurant, close to car park so no dragging luggage through narrow corridors! The kingsize bed was very comfortable, fluffy towels were a decent size & the shower was...

After a day at RHS Malvern, we broke our journey home with a stay at The Clive. Having called at ludlow food centre several times we had always fancied staying over and boy, how impressed we were. One of the best rooms we have stayed in anywhere and breakfast at the food centre was as good as ever. We ate...

The room was exceptionally clean and very generous in size. It had a large double bed (even though on my own, I hate sleeping in a single bed) which proved very comfortable. Fairly quiet also! Downside of the room was the slightly unsatisfactory windows and ventilation. The room was so well insulated that it was airless, but the windows had...

My wife and I stayed at The Clive for two nights last weekend. We didn't eat in the restaurant on either evening, so we can't comment on that. We can, however, write knowledgeable about the breakfast, which was included in our B&B tariff. It was excellent! On both mornings the cooked breakfast was beautifully cooked; it was hot, tasty and...

Booked here for my wife's birthday - very helpful and pleasant staff and lovely big room though overpoweringly warm. Ate in the restaurant - crisp white table cloths and napkins and smartly dressed staff but unfortunately no dress code. Four people at next table dressed in torn jeans tee shirts and one wearing a cap! Only other complaint was reception...

Not a lot of choice for my vegaterian partner but once pointed out to staff they offered great altenatives, well done and it...

We had lunch for two on a Tuesday. The gravlax, steak salad and lamb suet pudding we're all faultless as was the service. However we and a table of four others were the only ones eating there making it feel soulless and a little uninviting. Even a bit of background music could help!

I found this restaurant with hotel rooms on Booking.com as I was looking for a hotel in the Ludlow area and I'm so glad that I chose it. I booked a junior suite for a bank holiday break with my wife. I don't think I've ever stayed anywhere with more friendly staff than here. Everybody was attentive and helpful. Our...
