As advertised, clean, wi-fi good along with TV channels if you need to be couped upped;-) Heated pool was great in August. The big thing is location, a Timmies across the street easy just around the corner is the lake and access to highway 26 if you want to go to Collingwood.

Owner shows pride in ownership, everything very clean, not a new building but has been well maintained. No problem with Wi-Fi, flat screen tv, grounds well kept. Tim Hortons right across the street. Air Conditioner super quiet. We would go back again.

I liked it here and would most certainly recommend the Hilltop to others traveling the Meaford way. The pool was great. Very welcoming on the hot day that we had. Large tropical resort like umbrellas are set up beside the pool where people have drinks and socialize. The fellow guests and Randy, the owner, were great people to socialize with. The hilltop is conveniently located near fast food, restaurants, the Beer Store and shopping. You will be able to grab a meal very easily within walking distance from the pool. I did not use them because I didn't know ahead of time but here is a heads up to the next traveler, at least one bar-b-q was on site and available to tenants. The rooms were simple, clean, quiet and enjoyed.

Stayed here Saturday July 18 to attend a buck and Doe in Rocklyn. Pro: Randy followed up with me after speaking via phone and email when he had something come open that would suit us to find out if we were still seeking accommodations, which was proactive and helpful. The property is clean, and has a nice spot outside to sit/pool area. We LOVED the property and location. Rooms could use a little updating in terms of decor, but decent! clean, and quaint- probably pretty all-star for the metropolis of Meaford. The Cons: He was not rude per say, but overall we didn't feel like valued guests- check in was quick and easy, however, almost rushed; we were asked to pay upon arrival as Randy would be busy the next morning and informed that check out would be at "10:30 SHARP" as he

Initial contact by e-mail requesting rates and availability was answered in a timely fashion. The area has had a lot of snow but the lot was plowed and sidewalks in front of rooms shoveled. This is an older style hotel (bath room was small but adequate) and everything was very clean. Lots of bedding in case you were cold but it was not needed, the room temperature was very comfortable. Randy was willing to accommodate a late arrival but it was not needed. I had a good experience and can recommend this location.
