Very clean, pleasant staff. Nice outdoor pool. Comparable price to others we stayed at in Barrie. Room surprised us, was more like an apartment, full kitchen, all necessities. Comfortable, followed Covid regs. Great location. Would recommend for sure, and will stay again when in the area.

Friendly staff, great location, clean and very well outfitted room. Appliances, cookware, and cutlery all on site. Private entrance, super convenient parking and great location. No issues with good old fashioned phone in booking well in advance of our trip. Highly recommend!!

We booked a stay here due to a convenient location without checking reviews first (which should have been the first red flag). We came early in the afternoon for our reservation, about an hour or two after check-in time started (which we informed them of before the stay that we would be arriving at this time), and the man at the front desk immediately began yelling at us for being 'late' and threaten that he was going to give away our room. After a long check-in process, we finally went to our room. It was a relatively clean room, a few bugs here and there but nothing we couldn't handle. Bathroom was small and dated, as was the outside of the inn. Parking was a bit of a challenge as the lot is quite narrow and hard to turn in if there is any sort of traffic. Overall the rooms were alright, but the experience with front desk left a poor taste in our mouth and left a fairly negative impression of the place.

There aren’t many options if you want to visit friends or family in Borden. I chose The Angus Inn as it was Fido Friendly. I did use Bring Fido as a search engine and fell into their great pricing only to discover of $71 per night. I was too busy to check the final invoice. Bring Fido’s prices are in US dollars. My price jumped to $95. Indeed a bit of a surprise. However my room was huge, so clean, and more than adequately fitted my four legged friends along with moi and my mobility limitations. I really can’t complain at all. These people know what they’re doing having been in this business over 30 years. A kitchenette was so welcome and adequately stocked. Well done.

I stayed here for the entire winter. The owner Peter and his wife work extremely hard to make the property pleasant and safe. I regularly see them out clearing snow and ice early in the morning, Peter's wife is always assisting the professional housekeepers. Bottom line, the owners really care. The property is clean and well maintained. It is good value for money. It's not the Ritz Carlton, but I have been very pleased with how I've been treated during my 4 month stay.
