Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed at Shamrock House B & B in April. We had spent the day surfing on Inch Beach and decided to stay the night. We ended up staying for the whole weekend! The owner, Mary, was so warm and welcoming. The B & B is cosy and homely. The bed was warm and comfortable and the breakfast was outstanding (especially the local free range eggs and Mary's homemade brown bread...yum). It's a great spot for day trips around the dingle peninsula but why would you want to when Inch is so beautiful. Handy for the pub & restaurant(next door) and the beach is a short stroll. We even had a late check out to get more surfing in before we left. Would recommend Shamrock House if you want a friendly, warm, traditional Irish B & B.

Shamrock House is just beautiful. The hostess is so kind, friendly and really helpful. We were given tea and scones on arrival, lovely home-made.
The views are to die for! I love scenery and these views are the very best.
Our room was spotlessly clean, comfortable and serviced with clean towels every day.
Breakfasts are included, and there is plenty to last you all day. There are many nearby eateries for the evening.
I hope to return, can't wait in fact!

The owners were very friendly and talkative, the breakfast was nice. The location is superb for Inch beach and just a few seconds walk from the great local pub.

The en-suite shower room was in good condition. The bed a comfortable rest after a day surfing. The porch and lounge are nice places to relax with plenty to read and a spotting scope!

I'll definitely come back here again next time.

I stayed here for one night earlier this year. I often stay in B&Bs in Irl and UK due to work and they are always fine; this is the first time I have felt the need to write a review online!! Mary, the owner is a very genuine and welcoming host. i was greeted with tea and home baking (such a treat after deli roll for lunch for several days!). The house is great, lovely room, comfy and cosy etc. There is a great porch area where i sat and read while the light faded over the bay. The view is great. Breakfast was huge and again there was home made bread, a rarity in my experience.Though I did not really get to appreciate the beach this time I hope to come back for a proper visit at some stage. there is a really friendly atmosphere about the place and all amenieties are just a stroll away.

Stayed here for a few nights over the Easter bank holiday weekend and I honestly have nothing but good things to say about the stay.

Our host Mary was lovely, she made us feel very welcome. The room we got was big and clean with an en-suite shower 🚿. The house itself was spotless and the view was breathtaking.

Mary offered us space to hang out wetsuits after we were surfing and places to store our surfboards but we didn’t need to as the area is quite safe. You can leave your boards on your car overnight.

The breakfast was lovely with freshly made porridge 🥣 and a bowl of carrots 🥕 and avocado 🥑 too. Mary knew we were vegan and she accommodated us well.

Fresh towels everyday too what more could you ask for.

Inch is only half an hour drive to Dingle so location is good . Nice view from our room . Very comfortable and clean . The host Mary even made our bed and change the towels for our next night stay . Good Irish breadfirst too . Overall I would recommend this b&b and the price is reasonable too .

We had a good stay here. The location is very close to the nice Inch beach.

Foley's pub is very close, so having dinner or a pint is a very close walk but without the noise that a pub may make.

Beds and shower all good and just all you need for a good stay.

The amount of cereals to choose from is very large, could do with half of it as well without any problem.

Breakfast is very good although no big menu card to choose from, just discuss with the friendly hostess.

Shamrock House offers excellent, homely B&B accommodation at Inch Strand, Co Kerry. Mary O'Shea is a warm and welcoming host. I stayed three nights in late November. The room was en suite, breakfast substantial, spectacular views from the front of the house. Decent Guinness at Foley's Bar, next door. Stunning scenery all around.

This is a really lovely B an B, with a sea view. A nice comfortable bed, good size room. Clean and warm. The lovely lady running it was a very kind person indeed, soon as we arrived she offered tea and scones. Very happy with our stay, such a beautiful location.

How far from Foley's bar is it?
Answer from Mary O
Inch, Ireland
Hi Helena, We are next door to Foley's (approx 100m) It's an easy walk with a footpath along the way. Hope that suits! Thanks, Mary
Answer from Mary O
Inch, Ireland
Hi J A, I see your booking came in earlier. Yes, it is worth verifying! We are open and will be here to welcome you to Inch. It's the low season so it will be quiet. While the local pubs will be open I can't garuntee they will be serving food. You'll probably have to go to Dingle (25mins drive) to find a restaurant open for the Christmas period. Let me know if you need any more info, looking forward to having you stay with us here at Shamrock House. Mary

Hi, I'm writing to ask if there's an hairdryer in your rooms. Thank you. Chiara
Answer from Mary O
Inch, Ireland
Hi Chiara, Yes, there is a hairdryer provided in each room - stored in the top drawer of the dresser. In Ireland - a hairdryer is essential! Let me know if you have any more questions, Thanks, Mary
