Detailed Reviews
Brian and his wife were really accommodating, as this was one of the harder days we had on our Dingle Way hike. The inn itself is in a great location, surrounded by a bunch of pubs and dining options, and he was more than willing to let us eat breakfast early so we could beat the heat on the next hiking day. The rooms were very comfortable and plenty of towels/toiletries. Thanks again Brian!!

Super nice and friendly service from Be and Brian.
Rooms clean and lovingly furnished.
Breakfast with a vegetarian version of Irish breakfast was unique and amazing.
They even had gluten-free toast including a special toaster for that!

The Old Anchor Inn B&B is right on the main street running through Annascaul. We had a warm and friendly welcome from Brian (and met his wife Beata the following morning). Rooms were excellent and very comfortable. The hotel is just short walk from The South Pole Inn of Tom Crean (Shackleton Expedition) fame so this makes a handy and interesting dining spot without the need to drive!
Breakfast the next morning was of the highest standard with locally sourced ingredients and an excellent vegetarian option.
We were looking to shorten our walk that day so Brian suggested some good options and Brian and Beata kindly took to us to a convenient starting point (whilst taking their new dog to the vet in Dingle for the first time).
Our our route back to our car, walking on a back road, to our surprise, they pulled up beside us, having taken a diversion on their way back from the vet, to check that we hadn't got lost!!
Many thanks Brian and Beata for looking after us so well!!

I came down to Annascaul for a week of peace and quiet and to take in some of the beautiful Kerry countryside. I could not have picked a better place to stay.
My bedroom was spotlessly clean - as indeed was the entire house - with a lovely ensuite and a very comfortable bed. Brian and Beata were wonderfully accommodating hosts throughout my stay, offering advice on where to go, walks to take, places to see. The breakfast was excellent every morning too, with a wide range on offer; from the (delicious) locally sourced black pudding to fresh homemade smoothies.
Not only that, but they also make pizzas for delivery at the weekend, and ordering one after a swim at Inch beach on Saturday afternoon was entirely the right call.
All in all, I could not rate The Old Anchor Inn higher. It made for a perfect base during the unseasonably hot weekend and the somewhat more expectedly overcast autumn days that followed... Whatever the weather, the scenery never disappointed. Nor did returning to Brian and Beata's lovely home!

We had a very nice and cozy twin room with en-suite bathroom. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast was delicious! A great selection at the breakfast buffet and we could choose from a variety of hot dishes. It was the best accommodation we had on the Dingle Way.

We stayed here while doing the Dingle walk. Our room was in the building connected to the bar. Our room was extremely dated, there was mold in the bathroom, and the toilet did not flush properly. The two bathroom issues made our experience much less than it should have been. I can deal with dated furniture but the bathroom was unacceptable. Friends were staying in a building just down the street and one couple experienced the same thing with their bathroom.

The Old Anchor Down is in the heart of Anascaul village. It keeps in character with the village while its fresh and tidy feel inside makes for a perfect place to stay on your trip to the Dingle peninsula.
Brian and his partner went above and beyond to make our stay even more memorable. The pizza is also fantastic.
Thanks guys😃😃😃

Stayed here for 4 days with my family, 2 of which with extended family.. What a fantastic spot, great location, Brian and Beata are wonderful hosts, full of local knowledge and advice. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the food is delicious, great variety for breakfast and they do pizza in the evenings. Anascaul is a perfect location to act as your base as you explore the peninsula, a stones throw from The South Pole Inn for food with Pints.
I wholeheartedly recommend staying here and we are already planning our next visit...

First time staying in Annascaul. Will be staying again. And I'll be staying in the Anchor Inn. Excellent hosts with a natural feel for hospitality and looking after their guests. Room was lovely. Decent shower. Tasty breakfast with plenty of choices. Annascaul is a small, quiet village and the options for dining are limited but sufficient. But the proximity to Inch beach and dunes on one side and Annascaul lake and the mountains on the other is fantastic.

Hi! We went to Annascaul by car. Annascaul is a real small village, so I think that there are no tours available. We stayed there only for sleeping (we were traveling from Dingle to Killarney).
