Struggled to get in initially as hotel entrance required key card to access and lady at bar said "go to hotel entrance". Once we said it was locked though she let us in. Large room with recently replaced carpet. Very adequate. Breakfast hot and cold options as buffet but some hot food cooked to order and staff attentive in keeping items topped up. Would stay again if in area
We stayed at the Ceann Sibeal Hotel for one night as part of a hiking tour on the Dingle Peninsula. The rooms we had were clean and comfortable. The staff was really helpful and welcoming. We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant and both the food and service were really good as was the Guinness! Ballyferriter is a quaint little town. We enjoyed walking around after dinner to see the sights. There are a few pubs near the hotel that music in the evening. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to any travelers exploring the Dingle Peninsula.
We stayed recently during bad storms. We arrived by foot soaking and very tired. Our luggage had not arrived. The manager collected our clothes and equipment and made sure they were dried for us. He tracked down our luggage at the last B and B and got it delivered right away. His young staff were very helpful as well. Rooms are large with nice bathrooms. Breakfast is average , good. Their pub was good, not great, but again great service and had music. Very pleasant 1 night stay while walking Dingle trail.
We spent two nights in mid June at this small hotel in Ballyferriter, only a 10 minute drive from Dingle. Is it charming, well decorated with great local artwork, and our corner room on the 3rd floor had sweeping views of the Atlantic coastline and the rocky likeness of Sibyl of Greek mythology. The staff was welcoming and provided attentive service for breakfast and dinner, the food tasty. All room amenities were great, immediate hot water showers, spacious clean room, good beds, free parking in their lot next door, and oh the views. The hotel was quiet for sleeping which we preferred to tourist-filled Dingle options. Enjoyed the drive on narrow roads down to hidden beaches and more coastline views. Highly recommend a stay here.
The staff are very nice but the food was a disappointment. I had the Lobster, Crab and Prawn tortellini. At €23.95 this was overpriced and scarce. It had to be sent back for reheating. The Shepherds Pie was warm not hot. Only two red wines served by the glass - neither were up to a decent standard.
Manager was terrific . Food was great and breakfast top notch. We could have stayed a week here and been very relaxed. Rooms were terrific , big and clean. great lounge downstairs felt more like a B&B than a hotel. thanks again
Lovely hotel Rooms very spacious.. Staff where lovely but needed a head person to sort out the issues Breakfast was all over the place. Still was lovely.. Overall the staff just needed one person to control the place.. The rooms themselves where cosy and I can’t complain there Very comfy bed.. All in all A small tweaking in the staff and we defo go back
Comfortable relaxed three star hotel. A great spot to visit this most beautiful part of the Dingle Peninsula. The pub style dinner and breakfast were good - the fish was very fresh and it was very relaxed. Staff were friendly and we felt very comfortable staying there. Free and ample parking was also helpful
It really started from the begining, which is a shame as the hotel is very nice. We were confronted by a young man behind the reception who's first utterance out of his mouth was to ask us for payment!!! No hello, how are you etc, etc! Our room and our relatives room were really lovely with fab views. However, downstairs was a very different kettle of fish. The hotel appears to be run by mainly young men who really do not have a clue. We ate our evening meal there on the first night, however, the dining room was freezing and we asked for the stove to be lit, it fell on deaf ears! The food was lovely, although marred with feeling cold. My Husband and Brother-in-Law liked a particular beer and when ordering another, there was no more left and the young man just shrugged his shoulders when asked if they would have some more the next evening. We decided not to eat there the next evening and try one of the other pubs in the village. We went down for breakfast the next morning and that room was also very cold, only an electric heater by where the food was laid out. The breakfast was really nice, albeit we had to wait a wee while for some items to be replenished. We ate our next evening meal at The Tigh an tSaorsaigh which was great and the girls there were really friendly, welcoming and it was warm! Went back to the hotel for a nightcap and one of the young men must have realised and said we could sit where a heater was. We think it was the one from the breakfast room!!! Did not warm us really! Then to top it all, a lot of young people started appearing later on, like a youth club!!! They started being quite raucous and the young men serving appeared to join in with them all! It was 2am in the morning when they all left making a lot of noise! We will just say that we do not think a lot of them were of age to be drinking! If we visit Ireland again, we would not stay at this hotel and whoever owns/runs/manages this hotel, really need to put their guests to the front of the queue, not treat us like aliens and also to have a presence in their hotel.…
We loved this hotel. The woodwork, corbels and crown moulding are beautiful. Our room and bath were very large and comfortable. We enjoyed a snack and a beer in the bar and we also had dinner there. Dean & Aoife provided great service and we enjoyed speaking with them. The hotel is in a great location and it does have a lift so it's wheelchair accessible. And breakfast the next morning was excellent! We will happily return to this property!
