Detailed Reviews
Family rooms are huge, with a 5-star feel, Spotless, good furniture and Nice modern bathroom. Manager Aidan was very helpful, set my boys up with an extra monitor for their Xbox (don’t judge!). Fabulous beach about 15 mins walk away. Great shop close by for sandwiches. Good breakfast. They appeared to be very conscientious about COVID-19, hand sanitisers every few feet in the hotel, tables sprayed down, restaurant staff wore PPE, breakfast Buffet was organised to minimise contact between different groups.
My only negatives: the bar food was very bar foody, fine if you like that. Also There should also be some facility for drying swimwear and wetsuits, a washing line outside would do!

We really enjoyed our stay at Ceann Sibeal. The staff were so kind and friendly. Homely atmosphere nestled into the most beautiful landscape. Breakfast was a huge buffett, excellent choice. Social distance between tables and gloves and hand sanitiser is available throughout. Great stay!

We spent two nights in mid June at this small hotel in Ballyferriter, only a 10 minute drive from Dingle. Is it charming, well decorated with great local artwork, and our corner room on the 3rd floor had sweeping views of the Atlantic coastline and the rocky likeness of Sibyl of Greek mythology. The staff was welcoming and provided attentive service for breakfast and dinner, the food tasty. All room amenities were great, immediate hot water showers, spacious clean room, good beds, free parking in their lot next door, and oh the views. The hotel was quiet for sleeping which we preferred to tourist-filled Dingle options. Enjoyed the drive on narrow roads down to hidden beaches and more coastline views. Highly recommend a stay here.

It really started from the begining, which is a shame as the hotel is very nice.
We were confronted by a young man behind the reception who's first utterance out of his mouth was to ask us for payment!!! No hello, how are you etc, etc!
Our room and our relatives room were really lovely with fab views. However, downstairs was a very different kettle of fish.
The hotel appears to be run by mainly young men who really do not have a clue.
We ate our evening meal there on the first night, however, the dining room was freezing and we asked for the stove to be lit, it fell on deaf ears! The food was lovely, although marred with feeling cold. My Husband and Brother-in-Law liked a particular beer and when ordering another, there was no more left and the young man just shrugged his shoulders when asked if they would have some more the next evening. We decided not to eat there the next evening and try one of the other pubs in the village.
We went down for breakfast the next morning and that room was also very cold, only an electric heater by where the food was laid out. The breakfast was really nice, albeit we had to wait a wee while for some items to be replenished.
We ate our next evening meal at The Tigh an tSaorsaigh which was great and the girls there were really friendly, welcoming and it was warm! Went back to the hotel for a nightcap and one of the young men must have realised and said we could sit where a heater was. We think it was the one from the breakfast room!!! Did not warm us really!
Then to top it all, a lot of young people started appearing later on, like a youth club!!! They started being quite raucous and the young men serving appeared to join in with them all! It was 2am in the morning when they all left making a lot of noise! We will just say that we do not think a lot of them were of age to be drinking!
If we visit Ireland again, we would not stay at this hotel and whoever owns/runs/manages this hotel, really need to put their guests to the front of the queue, not treat us like aliens and also to have a presence in their hotel.

Firstly we were welcomed at 5:50pm to say we can’t take an order until 6pm so you can just sit there, very strange behaviour in an empty restaurant with at least 4 visible staff standing around.
We ordered the seafood chowder and wings to start the seafood chowder had a full layer of butter / oil at the top that was yellow. Sent back the full bowl waiter did not even pick up that I sent back what I was served. There was no creaminess too it just an oily bowl of chowder with very little fish. Wings were burnt. Got the prawns for main there was at least 20 on the plate which I was surprised with, when you bit into them the grease dropped from them, ate the chips and sent back all the prawns. Yet again waiter never questioned it, my husband got the pizza it was nice and my daughter the roast of the day turkey was safe for to eat but not the ham as it was tough.
I would avoid the hotel for dinner at all costs.

We found it all reasonable but it certainly could do wit improvement. Our room was clean, had facilities such as tv towels and WiFi.
Bar food was good. Breakfast was self service !! A bit crazy wit guests to wear gloves and masks, fruit cereal and the the Irish break fast available. Not great really, coffee was awful, eggs not great either could do wit improvement.
We paid €450 for our room for 2 night stay included in the price was €50 for sea view room . Which was indeed a sea view but just wasn’t worth it!
No shower gel on second morning bed badly made we had to remake ourselves no manager around or someone who seem to watch that every thing was in order. Reasonable decor wit a lift was was handy.
Overall ballyferriter village desperately needs some love and attention, the generally grumpiness of the village let’s it down badly.
With such amazing views and scenery the dingle peninsula is a must do experience. Please clean up your lovey village and give the love and attention it needs it could be so much more than what it is.
Studding location.

I had dinner here last night. I gather rooms are comfortable but dinner was awful for me. Choices were so limited that nothing on the main course menu appealed. So I tried 2 starters. The fact that I actually had broccoli soup tells a story - I loathe broccoli, and the soup, though edible, was cold, and had far too much pepper. And the Cajun salad: dry dry chicken, a pile of mixed leaves out of a cheap supermarket packet, poor dressing, without flavour. So we did our best, but most stayed on the plate without comment from the staff. As we ordered cheesecake, waiter asked "Do you want cutlery?" Well, unless we are to lick it........ Eat elsewhere folks. And there were screaming babies, which, really, no hotel can help

We stayed two nights at Ceann Sibeal. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room is specious and offers a great view😊
Also breakfast buffet offers variety foods (cold meat, chees, fruit, cerial, pastries, hot foods), it was very good. Don’t worry they offer disposable gloves at the buffet. There are lots of sanitizer station in the hotel too.
We had a great time and enjoyed a view from the room.

We loved this hotel. The woodwork, corbels and crown moulding are beautiful. Our room and bath were very large and comfortable. We enjoyed a snack and a beer in the bar and we also had dinner there. Dean & Aoife provided great service and we enjoyed speaking with them. The hotel is in a great location and it does have a lift so it's wheelchair accessible. And breakfast the next morning was excellent! We will happily return to this property!

We stayed here for two nights during a recent trip to Co. Kerry. The location is great - it is a good base for exploring Kerry. The scenery in this area is pretty spectacular. The family rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The staff were friendly. Breakfast was very good - there was a good selection of hot and cold food. Gloves were provided for using whilst at the breakfast buffet. We ate on two evenings in the hotel restaurant. The menu had a good choice and there were a number of specials each evening. The quality of the food was very good - I would recommend the steak and the prawns. There are some very nice beaches in the nearby area.
