Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Been here for 4 nights in the apartment. First impression was nice as it was clean and had a nice bathroom but soon we realized we were surrounded by pop music from 7 in the morning until 11 in the evening from either the breakfast or restaurant. Sleep stopped mostly when the first hikers came down the stairs around 6 and for sure around 7 when the restaurant got it's goods in front of the windows. You couldn't sleep anyway as the curtains were mere decoration than holding back any light. Privacy was also difficult as people from the restaurant could look in the bedroom. The restaurant was also very noisy in general as the doors to the kitchen led directly to the rooms and rarely they were closed Close the windows you say when it's noisy but they had to be open because the apartment got really hot even with open windows. Long story short, stay away

It was impossible to sleep during night because our room was next to the train station, noisy restaurant and staircase. And the room was also very hot, although it was a nice temperature outside. A positive point: the room was very clean

We stayed here last night. The room is nice even though the bathroom is very small and the beds are very firm. The service staff is very friendly and the price is much cheaper than the places in the surrounding area. It is a great place if you are on a budget and looking to stay here.

The restaurant is very warm and friendly, with a rustic charm. You almost feel like you're in someone's home. It was a cold, snowy December night when we visited, and the fireplace was nice for ambience and warmth. My traveling companion is from Slovakia, and she chose one of the specials, sauerbraten served with steamed bread. I had a hearty bean and sausage soup, fried pork tenderloin (similar to schnitzel) with sweet potato fries. We both had hot tea to drink. The food was delicious, authentic and reasonably priced.

After visiting the lake my partner and I dropped in looking for a hot chocolate. The staff were great and the hot chocolate, one with raspberry and one with prunes, was exceptional. Thick and full of flavour! I also decided to have some cheesecake, as it looked good from the display. I wasn't disappointed and would have had more! Next time we are in the area we will drop in for sure

After a lovely snowy walk around the lakes, we decided to go for a hot chocolate. This cafe was perfect, great decor inside making it feel cosy and homely. Hot chocolates were thick and incredibly chocolaty, amazing. We had two flavours, one with plums soaked in rum and the other with raspberries. Along side a fruit cheesecake, a great end to a great walk. Would recommend and visit again!

Great surprise! The food was delicous, I had duck breast which never tasted better, and the typical Slovak food was just remarkable! The interior is really cosy, with very typical Slovak features. A play area for children was a big plus. We were really nicely surprised cause from the outside it did not look that attractive but when in, the restaurant won us all :-)

Good rooms, spacious, literally next to the train station, and if you are out hiking all day then you won't hear a thing! The breakfast is worth ordering, which you have to do the night before. LOTS of hiking trails begin here. OR you can easily catch the train for 2 Euro to other places to start trails that lead back. The lake is nice for a morning or evening stroll. The attached restaurant has great food. One warning, we found the timing of the trails on the signs was too short for our speed, add another 50% of time to be safe!
