Most people arrive and leave via a white water raft down the Pacuare River, but our latish arrival time meant arriving by 'road' - well 'rockery' might be a better description - and a basket winched across the river - quite an experience. Guests under 12 have to arrive and leave this way - I would recommend leaving this trip...

My wife and I purchased the 4-day 3-night adventure package, and stayed in one of the Linda Vista suites (The Puma) from 4/27-4/30. Their van picked us up in San Jose around 6:00 am, and took us to a very nice restaurant on a hill for breakfast, en route to river rafting into the resort. My wife was kinda nervous...

This was amazing! The otter river suite exceeded my wildest hopes and dreams. I loved the river, the river rafting to arrive at the hotel and even the zipline to the nest restaurant (in a tree high in the canopy of the rainforest)! This was amazing. I wish I could have stayed 2 weeks there and just lounged in the...

Pacuare Lodge truly deserves praise as it is a wonderful place. We loved every minute of it except maybe the humidity level but if you go to Costarica need to be ready for that 😀. We loved our Linda Vista suite although it was quite a climb to get there. You can always ask for a lift and staff will...

Our family spent 4 nights at Pacuare Lodge. The activities, the people, the food, the service... it was all personal and top notch. My thrill-seeking kids (15 and 17yrs) had the time of their lives: fishing in the river, rappelling, swimming, hiking, zip lining and embracing the jungle life... all while enjoying top quality food and accommodations. I took some...

Remote location, with the journey to get there only a further benefit. The sheer amount of logistic planning required to provide the luxury experience they do is astounding.
