My husband and I took the 2 day trip and loved every minute of it. The pick up and travel to the home base was prompt and efficient. The guides were well-trained and the equipment was well-maintained. The rapids on the river day 1 were Class 2 and 3, and allowed us newbies to get ourselves accustomed to the paddling...

Just completed an overnight rafting trip. Wonderful experience! The remote lodge was beautiful. Staff was excellent. The rafting was great. Our guide, Albert, was very knowledgeable. Not only did he insure that our rafting experience was wonderful, he also took us on a beautiful hike. Food was very good, and everyone really went out of their way to make sure...

Our family spent 4 days/3 nights at Rios Tropicales! We LOVED it! The guides were top notch, the white water rafting experience second to none, and the meals were outstanding. I am so glad we went with teenagers who were fit, healthy and ready for adventure - no WiFi made us connect as a family and truly experience what the...

We are very happy to know you spent the three nights at our Lodge with your family , I assumed you hiked all the trails and enkoyed the zip lines. Thanks for your review. We dont want to offer Wi Fi , first because we would need to install a metal tower in the primary jungle ,and second , you...

I really enjoyed going down the river. It was a great adventure and the food offered was very good also. I would recommend this tour to anyone going to Costa Rica. I did this tour at the end of my trip before I flew home the next day and it was amazing!

I have no words to describe how wonderful and fulfilling was this experience. The rafting, the guides, the landscape, our room, the restrooms, the food.....everything was more than great!!! We also had the opportunity to interact with people for other countries and made some great friends. And the most amazing and admirable of all were our guides, but the most...

Do the raft trip overnight....so worth it! We did the zip lining. The food was great.mrelaxing and exciting all in one trip. If you do it in the dry season, the sky with stars is just amazing in the middle of the jungle.

The guides, the scenery, and the itinerary made this part of our trip to Costa Rica an absolute gem. Kevin Navarro & Ricardo Palacios were amazing. Both were willing and able to flex so that my husband and I could have a packed, adventurous three days - they made sure to point out every hike, swimming hole, and waterfall slide...

We were well cared for. Our guide was excellent. The views were beautiful. We went with very high water which meant for a more exciting and potentially dangerous trip. I felt very confident that we were in good hands and had a blast!

This experience is not to be missed if you decide to raft the Pacuare River. The lodge is set on a hillside overlooking the river, and there are plenty of beautiful places to hike to very close to the lodge. We enjoyed zip lining, and swimming in a few of the waterfalls close by. The staff and guides were absolutely...

Thanks a lot for enjoying our Lodge so much , we built it thinking of people like you ,"we had to leave because rafting is so much fun" " we will stay longer next time" That is a great reason that the company OARS, feels we are the top 5 Whitewater Lodges in the World.

This is truly paradise! Repelled down waterfalls, zip lined across the river twice, hiked to top of mountain, saw howler monkeys, toucans and so many more animals, the rafting is world class! Rooms great, food terrific, would go back in a heartbeat!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our multi-day trips treat you to an exceptional adventure vacation experience combining rafting on the Pacuare with a stay at our remote "Eco-Lodge", tucked in the rainforest on the banks of the river. A trip of pure magic, unsurpassed beauty, wildlife and ravishing rapids; Pacuare is the quintessential tropical river. Along its course lay several densely vegetated gorges, which shelter, jaguars, ocelots, monkeys, sloths and an incredible variety of birds. Also found within these gorges, is some of the best whitewater in the world. "at its lodge, hammock-filled, thatch-roofed huts, offering dorm and honeymoon style rooms, surround an even larger thatch-roofed lodge net to a gurgling waterfall linking the huts to the lodge’s open-walled dining room, bar and reading room are bamboo-railed boardwalks that make wearing anything but river sandals sacrilegious. Don’t get so comfortable in the reading room’s hammock; however, that you miss the cocktail-hour bell; in true jungle fashion, all apres-paddle drinks are served in coconut shells." (Paddler magazine article, jan./feb.1999, edb). ... more   less
