It has the best location of the island: just on the water front, 2 minutes walking distance to the port. It's a renovated old building (furnitures were really bad especially tables and chairs at the restaurant was very old ) the rooms are small but has wonderful view. the breakfast was really bad , there was almost nothing to eat , also the minibar was empty not even water . also the staff ( waiter was rude)

I booked this hotel via booking.com and I paid the full amount at the time of online booking. During checking-in, I told the hotel representative that I already paid for the room but he said I had to pay it at the hotel so I had to pay it again at the hotel in cash. The guy didn't even listen to me saying that he's been doing this for ten or twenty years and he knows how it works. After the stay, when I checked my account, I realized that I was double charged, once by booking.com and once by the hotel. I contacted booking.com and sent them a copy of the receipt and they said they would provide a refund. I am still waiting for my refund. It's been more than one month. I spent so much time trying to get my money back. In summary, this hotel caused me a lot of time waste and frustration. They are not professional and they don't really know how a hotel should be managed. They shouldn't be on booking.com if they don't know how to handle reservations.

Pyrgos is a much needed addition to the hotel options on Burgazada - perfectly integrated into the character of the place, built up out of an historic location and historic old building, and perfectly situated on the shore not far from the town center. It is full of old world charm and lovely atmospheric corners. Plus a good restaurant! We enjoyed it very much.

My room was very small and noisy, its bathroom was tiny and it was nearly impossible to take a shower. The wifi was broken, the food was really bad and there wasn't even a decent tea in the breakfast. One dinner was extra and I had to pay 50 TL for just three small appetizers and mineral water!
