after a warm welcome and moving into our comfy and well planned bungalow, we could relax at the pool (small and directly in the sun - the only negative thing). they have a lookout to watch lots of (rather unusual) animals and Waterberg in the distance. staff and food were excelle

Franz Indongo Lodge is a good location for a couple of nights when travelling from Etosha to Windhoek. The accommodation is very comfortable and the staff are helpful. The meals are good and the waitresses are delightful in the way in which they serve the evening meal main cours

After a long drive from the Caprivi Strip we were looking forward to a rest. This was a lovely stopover and we were disappointed to only be stopping one night.
The lounge area is spacious and there is a lovely drinks area overlooking the grasslands for animal viewing.

Nicely dressed and prepared bed.
Three questions: 1) we have booked the Cheetah Conservation visit through the hotel. Would we have time after that tour drops us at the hotel to visit RARE? 2) how long does it take to drive to the international airport from here? 3) How much time should I build into my schedule for rental car return at the airport?
Does this lodge offer Rhino walks? Are there rhino in the vicinity? if we stay two nights will we have time to enjoy the grounds, visit the cheetah conservation center, and visit the vulture conservation center? How bad are the roads from here to those places? Can we drive this area in a sedan? Thank you.
As far as I know Frans Indolgo does not offer rhino walks however has game drives. You can see rhinos while staying in Etosha, Okaukueyo. We were visiting Cheetah Conservation Fund driving from Windhoek to Frans Indolgo (you need to turn from the main road and drive around 40 km, then drive back; there is a shorter way but for 4WD only). The road is gravel and 40km/h is max. Regarding driving sedan... I would not recommend... We drove toyota rav4, which wasn't 4WD but is higher and much better for Namibian roads. During our 2-weeks journey I saw 3 sedans parked along the road, waiting for help...

Should we stay for one night or 2 nights - unsure? It will be at the end of the trip and when we leave here it will be to fly from Windhoek to Cape Town. Thanks
We also stayed at the end of our trip and we really wished we had booked for two nights rather than one. It was such a beautiful place and there are interesting things to visit nearby like the cheetah conservation project which I would very much like to have done. So I would say definitely go for two!
