Im writing this sitting on a cosy out door sofa, with fresh freezing water and my book in the last couple of hours that we have here. Me and my friend got bored with reading thousands of emails a day and solving problems without any thanks. Thank the gods that he saw this hoilday package ! This place is like being on your own private island. Its beautiful, just waiting for you to soak in the peace and quiet The sea is clear blue and private, the rooms are spaciousand clean , with a balcony where you can have breakfast and watch the sun rise or sit and watch the kittens play while the cool evening sea breeze wash over you. If sitting by the pool not moving an inch is for you ...The pool is big and DEEP, there are sunbeds galore. And if not there a beautiful village near by.. ( with people with with asthma or like my friend here had a recent collapsed lung the get the taxi up and walk down ) But what i loved and will miss the most is the staff.. so friendly and helpful, but especially the waiter, he would make our day every morning and evening making us laugh and genuinely caring about us .. him alone should just have 5 stars ! THE FOOD What can i say .. each night i was in awe of the food that was bought out to us. There is something for everybody to enjoy. Delicious doesn't do it justice... if you are not staying at the hotel .. but in the area please come and eat here you wont regret it ! WOULD I STAY HERE AGAIN Most definitely... will learn Italian as well ! They are family friendly.. they will have plenty to do, especially snorkeling in that massive pool they have. Any person that comes here to stay or dine will feel looked after.…
This is actually a nice hotel, but if you are looking for peace and only want to hear the breaking of the waves, dont go there because the owners of the hotel insists on playing vety loud music from early morning to late in the evening.
Good charming hotel. Location just out of the major roads ,but near the sea. Good breakfast and nice restaurant on the territory for dinner. Big clean room and free parking. Do not leave lights on in the evening with open windows- lots of BUGS will come in. To take it off just turn off lights and wait 10 minutes. Drive 45 minutes to Cefalu. 5 minutes to small town. It's nice and keep a spirit of real Siciliano. Perfect cheap restaurants and cafe in.taste their food and you will be back
We enjoyed our stay but the 4/5 rating is misleading. By UK standards this is an average hotel. It’s very charming and quaint and staff are helpful and polite (they fixed our toilet on the day it broke) and it is also in a beautiful location right next to the ocean. However, if you are coming from UK please be aware some things we usually expect in a hotel are not provided. For example: - rooms have mini fridge but bottled water is not provided free - rooms have towels but hotel does not provide swim/beach towels and charges if room towels are used in pool area. - rooms are not cleaned daily/rubbish bins are not emptied etc. - bedlinen is not refreshed everyday. Also be aware the hotel is right beside a train line. Not a problem for us as we are heavy sleepers but might be an unpleasant surprise for some. However, if you know what you are expecting it’s a very charming, quiet hotel out of the way of the busy modern world with only the little town above for delightful Sicilian treats and a feel of Sicilian life. Hiring a car is a must, as the town itself is in the middle of no where and walking from hotel to town is all uphill and very steep.…
This is at best a two star hotel. We had two rooms and each had its own challenges. The air conditioner was broken in one room, the water did not drain from the sink in either room so we just removed the stopper, which I realized was not attached to the lever and so it would not work. My door to the bathroom only opened half way and would not close. The bed felt like sleeping on the floor as it was very hard. The whole place was just rundown and tired. While it has beautiful views of the ocean the decor and shoddy rooms took away from it. The staff does speak some English. Funny thing was the front desk called to check on the items broken and I could not hear her because the room phone connection was awful and the phone didn’t work well Additionally we did not have WiFi at all. Staff claimed you needed to log on at the front desk and it would then be ok around the property. We have five devices and tried on each one with no luck, which wasn’t a surprise. Couldn’t wait to leave. …
We stayed for a week - first with a big group of about 30 then just with my Ex and our kids. The staff were friendly, attentive and helpful in a relaxed, unfussy way. The whole place is clean and has a family run vibe. The trattoria is good too. I’d love to come back and use it as a base to see even more of this spectacular island. There are good road links to the whole north coast and we even got as far as Etna for a day trip to the east.
This renovated hotel was in a lovely position overlooking the sea but very few rooms had a view of it!! Rooms were well maintained and clean. Big saltwater pool. Facilities were average but the breakfast was plentiful and good. Nearby restaurant excellent but pricey.
the hotel is nice from outside but very bad inside.. furniture in the rooms was soooo old.. the doors, the window, the walls were dirty.. seemed like the renovation was made like 30 years ago.. I've never seen one 4**** hotel that doesn't provide for water and with the broken fridge in the room, dirty and full of mold inside. I would also vote "1", but I give "+1" just because of friendly stuff and other "+1" for seaview
Stayed here for a week whist doing a road trip around Sicily. Beautiful, peaceful location and very helpful friendly staff. Felt very lucky to be able to hear the sea every night and the water was so clear! Great swimming pool. There is a train nearby but we didn't hear it at night, and I we slept really well! Great little restaurant next to the hotel and there is a good pizzeria at the top of the hill near the hotel. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, we had such a lovely holiday!
We are so pleased with this hotel. Fantastic service that always did the little extra help for us. We loved the location exactly by the ocean and still they had a large pool (both for kids & adults). Rooms where fine, but very warm in August. Taisty Italian breakfast was included. There was a really lovely restaurant just next too the hotel that served good food. Very handy with parking just infront of the hotel. We truly recommed this hotel and hope to be back someday.
