The Hotel has obviously suffered from Covid and was very quiet as a consequence. No one at the Hotel seemed to take responsibility for the golfer experience. For example our rooms weren’t ready when we arrived just before lunch and even though we were playing an hour later no one had made arrangements for us to change and leave our luggage. If we had any questions regarding golf we were told to go down to the golf club. The rooms were nice with good views over the golf course to the sea. You have to ask if you want coffee, tea, etc in the room. No one was there to carry the luggage. We only had breakfast at the hotel which was okay. There was only one bar open which was the Piano Bar so that was very disappointing. There really should be a bar for the golfers with Sky Sports and a Pool table. We ended up going 300 yards up the road to the many bars for food and drink. All in all it was an okay Hotel but very understaffed.…
I don't normally write reviews but felt I had to write one to counteract some of the recent negative reviews. I don't know what sort of experience these people were expecting, but I have just returned from a 4 night, 3 rounds of golf stay at hotel La Manga Principe Felipe and it was superb. we played all three golf courses all of which were in excellent condition, just fabulous. The hotel itself was also excellent. the rooms were great, everything throughout the hotel was spotlessly clean. the staff were a high point as they were all very efficient and helpful, but also very friendly and smiley at all time. The food at the pool restaurant was also excellent
excellent hotel. We regretted that we stopped only for one night, we were passing through. The rooms are large, clean, comfortable bed. service at the highest level. the food is excellent. the nature is picturesque. happy to return to this place
Hotel is OK, definitely needs investment. Room adequate, but clean and tidy. The resturant is a nice set up but food good rather than excellent. Service good, although I think room service was not good as a couple of our party tried to get room service which either took ages to arrive or didn't arrive at all. Golf practice facilities are great, loads of space and everything you need, this is the main plus of the location. The North course was closed so can't comment on this, but the South course was good, well looked after and good greens. We played the West course once however this is massively short of investment, wouldn't pay to play this again unless they have done a huge amount of work. Which is a shame as it's a really interesting course. It's all good value if you are going as a golfing group, which we were. But as early reviews have said trading on it's reputation, needs investment.…
Just returned from La Manga On the positive side all 3 golf courses were in good condition as you would expect. However the Spa and indoor swimming pool have been closed or sold off no doubt due to covid. The room lacked basic stuff like cups, glasses, tea coffee and bottled water the sort of thing one might expect from a 5 star hotel. what a contrast to my last visit here 5 years ago.
