My husband and me brought my parents down to Devon to see their newest great granddaughter who lives in Winkleigh. My parents had an accessible room on the ground floor with a shower. The shower was very small and they found it very difficult to use. The room its self was very comfortable. Our room was on the first floor....

When arriving at the Hotel Reception I made it clear that we had booked room 5 first floor. There was some hesitation on their part and we were then told that we had room 16 which turned out to be an attic room up a very steep staircase through a fire door which then had to be closed before access...

We are in our mid sixties and We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in Nov.2016. We had a lovely room with 2 double beds in our room. The hotel was good and staff were friendly. We enjoyed the hotel grounds and trail walk even in our wellies! The Tree House is spectacular. There is plenty of free parking...

We booked this venue for 19 people to celebrate my mother in laws 70th birthday party as it was near to where they live (Winkleigh) The staff were all very friendly and efficient and nothing was too much trouble. The 2 course carvery was excellent, the beef was cooked to perfection in my opinion (slightly rare) the Yorkshire puds great...

A group of 10 of us stayed at this fantastic little hotel, some for 2 nights and some for 1 night. We had dinner here both nights from the A La Carte menu and were all absolutely amazed at the very high quality of the food. Not one of us could find a fault with any of the 3 courses...

It is pretty much a foregone conclusion that we will always gravitate back to the Fox and Hounds whenever we are Devon as the food is reliably superb, the service is second to none and you will always be made to feel welcome. We were in Devon for our summer holiday and although we were staying in North Devon, it...

This is a lovely country hotel in its own grounds alongside the River Taw. The rooms are nicely decorated with a big comfortable bed and a lovely powerful shower. The food is superb, possibly the best fish and chips I have ever eaten, and a huge steak and kidney pudding which very nearly (but not quite) defeated me! The staff...

Not far from home and a world away from every day cares. After our joint 60/65 birthdays were low key to say the least,we were really looking forward to our stay. Difficulties with animal sitting made things a bit hairy and we made it. The room is exactly as shown with chocolates & iced bubbly awaiting. We had a very...
