This was our second visit to this hotel, this time on a spring package that included a five course tasting menu, and a superior room. Our room was very comfortable, furnished with antiques, with a comfortable bed. The hotel is situated in the countryside, near a river and it was a lovely place for a two night stay. It is...

Thank you so much for choosing to stay at our Hotel a second time. It is always rewarding to welcome back returning guests and it sounds like that you enjoyed your stay just as much second time around. We have been working hard recently at refurbishing a number of rooms and public areas and we are glad that you appreciate...

A group of 10 of us stayed at this fantastic little hotel, some for 2 nights and some for 1 night. We had dinner here both nights from the A La Carte menu and were all absolutely amazed at the very high quality of the food. Not one of us could find a fault with any of the 3 courses...

Spent two nights bed and breakfast at excellent bargain rate. The room was beautiful overlooking gardens. Everywhere was spotless in the room and bathroom and shower were great. Ate both nights in restaurant/bar and the food was delicious. Breakfast was a great set up for day, [ lots of choice] well done chefs ! All of the staff were very...

Thanks you so much for your amazing review. We are so pleased that you loved our Hotel. We are of course a bit biased, but we agree that the food is delicious and our Head Chef Tom is doing a brilliant job. Thank again!

We stayed two nights at the Fox and Hounds in a standard double room. We had asked for a quiet room and were delighted with the room allocated on the second floor overlooking the gardens and woodlands. The staff at this hotel were lovely. On our arrival we asked what time was the next train at the nearby station to...

The Hotel was very welcoming having eventually arrived, just so far from all main attractions. Our room, 10, was very small although decorated with antiques and a small double bed, overlooked the front. The bathroom was very large but with clear glass in the window, the toilet took approximately twenty minutes to refill the cistern so visits had to be...

Thank you for taking to time to leave a reveiw and I am so pleased you enjoyed the service and particularly the food but am disappointed to read your final comments. Pets are kept in a separate area to other diners in the bar area and it seems a real shame to receive a low score because of another guests'...

The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. We had a pleasant room and on arrival found a special mat on the floor for our dog's water/feed bowl and a packet of meat and biscuit for him. Well behaved dogs are allowed in all public areas except the breakfast room. There is a special designated dog exercise area...

A return visit for us and after just one day of two I have to write another review. The customer care and attention, the rooms and the food here is exceptional and it shows when all the staff here are the same as our last visit and the time before that! Sophie and Chantelle need a special mention for their...

We booked a two night stay with breakfast and a seven course taster menu on the first evening. We asked for a twin room, which we had and it was clean lovely and the bathroom was excellent. The food was simply superb, the waiting staff friendly and overall couldn't find one fault. One other thing, we aRe not dog lovers...

We went for a 2 night, short couples break. We arrived earlier than the check in time, to be greeted by warm and friendly staff who allowed us to check in early and showed us to our room. The room itself was beautifully decorated and had a real luxury feel to it! The bed was wonderfully comfortable, the room was...

Real traditional British country pub. Staff super friendly. Food good. Pub grub with many "specials" on the board. Wished we lived closer - it would certainly be our local. Right in the centre of a very pretty village. We were staying at Norton Park for a few days and decided to try a local pub for a change. Had sea...
