We've just had a 3 night break at the lodge and couldn't have had a more pleasant experience. The lodge is easy to find, just off the A591 about 5 miles from Keswick and 11 miles from Ambleside. On arrival the staff were very helpful,...More

The lodge is a beautifully decorated, very clean base for walking in the lakes. The stunning location, near enough to Keswick and with easy access to main roads, was perfect for walking throughout the area. The rooms were warm, the showers nice and powerful and...More

We stayed in room number 1 and found it very spacious with a large bathroom and plenty of storage and supplies. The views from here are stunning, especially at breakfast when we could see the snow capped mountains turn from purple to pink to orange....More

You can walk over High fell and walk into Keswick that way.Need good walking map of the area or GPS.Much nicer walk than walking along the busy road and get the bus back.
