We stayed here during our recent business trip. Location is central and is good. Though centrally located, rooms were quiet and comfortable. Restaurant and bar were good. Options were good, ambience in the outdoor garden was good. Service and staff were friendly and good. Wifi was average but available. Overall a good option for a stay at Hospet.
We directly walked into hotel without pre-booking and stayed in some "executive" room on 2nd room. Pros: Big room, big toilet, very clean. There were 2 single beds but each approx 4 ft wide so 4 people of one family can manage. Its on a 4 lane wide road near bus stand, so easily approachable. Many restaurants nearby. Cons: The veg restaurant of hotel was a let down. Its a Darshini sort of place that's popular among locals but we didn't like the taste. Hotel has basement parking but if the hotel is full, they park cars one behind another. So, you should tell security guard if you are planning to drive out at odd hours.
We stayed for 3 nights in this hotel in Aug’20. The building and front garden well maintained. The room and bathroom both were clean. They changed the towels everyday. All of these met our expectations. The only problem about this hotel and that was a very big one is the availability of food. The hotel restaurants, one veg and one non veg are not in the same building. The veg restaurant which also offers the complimentary breakfast is in another building, called Priyadarshini classic, which is in the same compound but a short walk from our hotel. The non veg restaurant is a bit closer in the garden, but still needs a walk. Room service is available, but during our 3 days stay they never received our call. So each time we had to walk down to one of these restaurants to place an order to be delivered to our room or had to have the food at the restaurant itself. The veg restaurant was always over crowded which I wanted to avoid during the corona situation. On the last night we walked down to the non veg restaurant and found it closed which we were not informed beforehand. In short, the entire system was surely a botheration, specially after a long hectic day of visiting the ruins. After sharing my worries with the reception staff, I was being supplied with a personal number of somebody, a manager, who was in a noisy place somewhere, therefore could not hear me well and after few attempts and much delay, I could convey him my order. Finally the food was being served in plastic bowls and spoons, and poor quality paper plates, no napkins. Therefore this kind of experience used to spoil our mood on each of these occasions which is not desirable during a trip.…
Hotel Priyadarshini Pride at Hospet was selected based on Trip Advisor reviews. Thanks to reviewers for their honest reviews. It was almost 12 hours drive. We were eagerly looking forward to get into a comfortable room, shower, stretch and have a hot cup of tea first. Sandeep welcomed with a smile and the Check-In formalities were completed before we could think it was over. Anjaneya the bell boy, again with a smile led us to our suite. He explained to us with regard to the TV,AC controls. Showed the nice coffee area and mini fridge and the numbers to call for the respective services. This suite was well furnished, had spacious sitting and bed rooms, separated by a door. One toilet was attached to the sitting room and the other one with bath to the bedroom. I would certainly rate this suite high, particularly in a town like Hospet, and for the magic price through MMT. Absolutely clean and spacious. They have another Hotel relatively old. That’s Priyadarshini Classic. One will see this hotel first on driving into the driveway. Priyadarshini Pride is in a separate compound. Guests staying here will have to walk about 100 metres or so to the restaurant “Naivedya”, located in their older Hotel Priyadarshini classic to have complimentary breakfast. There is room service. We did use it for evening tea and dinner. Immensely satisfied with the room service. Complimentary breakfast is fixed and has about 5 items; (Pongal, vada, Masala Dosa, bisi bela bath, Rava Kesari, juice and coffee / tea). This restaurant is crowded, so you want to consider that for if you are hard pressed for time. Check out by Pradeep was handled well. He briefed us about the hotel and future plans. Being a tourist town , did see many families, couples. Place appeared to be safe and close to Hampi. For us it was just a transit halt as part of long road trip, with the next destination about 6 hours drive. I would certainly recommend this hotel whether for a transit halt or for a leisured stay for sightseeing at Hampi.…
