The view here is absolutely gorgeous. I had such a lovely stay at Hotel Belmar. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was to die for it was one of the best meals I've ever had. Get the banana bread. I can not talk highly enough of the staff they were absolutely fabulous! They answered all of our questions...

After several average hotels and a 6 hour transfer on un-surfaced roads, my arrival at Hotel Belmar was like meeting St Peter at the pearly gates !! A beautiful welcome from Rolando with refreshing facecloths and and exotic drink sealed the deal ! The hotel is is a picture perfect, chocolate box Swiss Alpine ski lodge (yes really !!). Beautiful...

The hotel has stunning views across the mountains to the Pacific. We arrived after spending a few nights in Arenal region where the food and service had been a little hit and miss. From the moment we arrived in this little sanctuary, after a bumpy 4 hour journey across the pot holed 'roads' of the region, we felt instantly relaxed...

You have to stay here... even if just for a drink on the balcony looking out to the Pacific sunset. Nice little jacuzzi, love.y rooms and friendly staff. Great food! Nice being able to walk into town.

This was probably the best hotel of our Costa Rica Tour, Lovelyroom overlooking ocean. Breakfast was a delight, had dinner one evening and that was divine. Lunch, smoothies etc all very good. Staff really pleasant and accommodating. You are able to walk into Monteverde although due to the incline suggest Taxi back.

The moment we arrived to the Hotel and till we left, the hospitality was excellent. They even had breakfast ready to go early at 5 in the morning. The food served in the restaurant was excellent. I will definitely go back there and suggest to anybody looking for a Hotel in Monteverde, to stay at Hotel Belmar.

Wonderful hotel on the edge of town leading to the National Park. Great views over to the Pacific Ocean when it's not raining. Comfortable beds and great to watch the birds from the bedroom balcony. The restaurant is excellent here and the breakfasts very enjoyable. Great team looking after guests. They have their own micro brewery in the grounds!

The room was rustic in the chateau style. The staff was friendly and super helpful in directing us to excursions, shopping, and local cuisine. The room and common areas were clean and well maintained. The view of the Bay of Nicoya and the cloud forest were spectacular. The juice bar and coffee was exceptional. The farm to table meals were...

Room had a wonderful view, and was very comfortable. Breakfast and lunch were very good. A disappointment was Christmas dinner - it was pricey and fixed price, by 8PM they had run out of one of the two main course options (lamb), the other option (sea bass) was awe full - no flavor.
