My husband and I were lucky enough to stay here while we were in Monteverde. From the moment we arrived the customer service provided by Carlos and his family was truly impressive including homemade fruit smoothies when we arrived and a ride to the Monteverde Cloud Forest to save us the money on a cab a couple days later. Our room was spotless and comfortable, the grounds were gorgeous, and the cat and dog that live on property were a friendly added bonus. We were treated to the biggest room, the Quetzal, since we were the only ones there and it was lovely with a private patio that was a great touch that I often took advantage of. The daily housekeeping was also immaculate. Additionally, the breakfast was truly spectacular and way more impressive than anything I have experienced at any other bnb. It included fruit each morning followed by an array of other items depending on the morning (some mornings pancakes, others sausage and tortillas with cheese, sometimes eggs to order). Overall the amount of food was only paralleled by the beauty of the plates and the taste. We were also lucky enough to have dinner here one night which I would highly recommend. For only $25 each we were treated to a full 5 course meal including wine with one course being better than the last. We particularly enjoyed the tuna steak and the passion fruit dessert. If we ever return to the area I would not hesitate to stay here again and will tell anyone else I know to do the same.

The BNB was fabulous from the beginning. Carlos greeted us upon our arrival and introduced us to our rooms (which were beautiful) . The grounds were immaculate and the setting was great. He served us appetizers on the patio while we were enjoying ourselves. He presented us with our choices of starters and main course. The food was unbelievable and with a great presentation, I have never felt more catered to and treated so warmly in any other place or country. I plan to return with other friends soon so they too can experience this wonderful place.

Casa Batsu is absolutely beautiful 😍 We did an overnight to the Cloud Forrest (which was also awesome) and stayed at Casa Batsu for a night. The room, the food, the staff (owners Carlos, Paola, Alejandro and everyone on staff) defy words. So, all I can say is fabulous, astounding, spectacular, breathtaking, fantastic, awesome. There are more I could probably use but it wouldn't come close to describing our visit. Five Star

Our family of spent 2 nights at Casa Batsu in March 2021, and our stay was excellent. We had the Mariposa room and the Quetzal room. Both were beautifully decorated and very clean. The grounds were immaculate. And breakfast was fantastic and fresh! On our night of arrival, we reserved dinner service with Carlos for a 3 course meal and drinks, and we were so glad we did! It was truly a special stay!

What a place and what absolutely amazing hosts Paula and carlos are. We are not usually tripadvisor reviewers but we were so blown away by our accommodation and Paula and Carlos’s incredible hospitality, we couldn’t not. Every morning we were greeted with a different home made breakfast with different fruits, juices and made with such love. The room was refreshed daily with flowers and towels and robes, the touches were unbeatable - even petals sprinkled delicately in different spots. We were so spoilt. Hand delivered local wine to our room one evening too and a taste of some local cheese. There are birds in the garden. They have a gorgeous dog called Rex and the cutest kitten called cleopatra. It’s Paulas family home that they have converted into a hotel and it felt just like our own home. During our stay, when mentioning to locals that we were staying at casa batsu, we heard great things about Paula and Carlos too! They are local legends and I can see why! I won’t forget our stay at casa batsu and our beautiful room. A must for anyone visiting monteverde!!! Thank you guys!!
