We got here after a guy picked is up and took us here from the city. He said 8$ each for a dubbel room including breakfast. The same night he tried to sell us every tour we wanted to do right away for the next day. We believe he did that because when we wake up, there is no staff... More

Our stay at Sinai was most enjoyable. Ceasar and Marvin was extremely helpful with booking reservations, as well as giving us general information about travel and activities. The lodgings themselves are very affordable. My friend and I only paid $7 each for 2 beds in a private room. I cant say much about the other amentities because we mostly slept... More

I stayed for 1 night at Hostel Sinai with 3 friends. I payed $5 USD for a bed in a dorm room. It was clean and felt safe and there was free wi-fi. For that amount of cash t's exactly what I wanted and expected. A good bargain option

We were hustled off our bus with the allure of a $10 private room so took the bait. Didn't expect much for the price and you don't get much in the way of creature comforts or beautiful surroundings. I'm surprised to see the other reviews and the photos are definitely not a representation of its current state. Maybe it's changed... More

Sinai Hostel is a family place run by the freindly couple Hernan and his wife. The attitude is very personal, and Hernan is very helpful in giving all the right advices and recommendations at all times, leaving his office open for the guests so they can use the internet as much as they like, and offering extra blankets in cold... My husband and I stayed at Pension Sinai for 4 nights and had a great time! Sinai is run by a fabulous tico couple (Hernan and Diana) who are happy to chat and help you plan your stay in Costa Rica, or to leave you be if you'd rather have some alone time. Hernan can arrange tours for you or,... More

I stayed in Hostel Sinai for about a week and it was everything I would expect from a hostel AND MORE. It is run by a sweet tico couple, who do everything to ensure the tenants are happy and healthy. They offer free breakfast, which includes eggs, picho, bread, and fruit (more than I could even stomach). Also, there is... More

A family owned and run business, with the nicest, warmest, people who will bend over backwards to make you happy. The prices were great, and there are different options depending on your preferences: room with 2 beds, tv, and private bathroom, rooms that are just beds and a shared bathroom, or a smaller room with 2 beds and a small... The Hostel is run by a very friendly and dedicated costarican couple (and a puppy). The rooms are big and clean, there is a kitchen and hammocks to relax. The breakfast is the best we ever got on our trip in latin america! The owner also offers cheap tours and is always ready to give you a discount. He can... More

“Its good idea to consult with Hernan about the better options for Monte-Verde, he tells the things just as they are with no interest involved. Also, he has safe parking for those who travel with car.”

“If the hostel isn't booked solid, ask to see the rooms before deciding which one to take - all have different sleeping arrangements. If privacy is important to you, get the room with the private bath - it's in it's own stand-alone building just in front of the main building.”
