Beautiful location. 5 minute walk to lakeside through the campsite. Clean rooms but thin walls. Reception staff okay, not overly helpful but perfectly adequate and speak English and German. Only three stars because the food was disasterous - service was initially very very slow but that was rectified during the week we stayed there. The food varied from warm to...

The location of this hotel is in a very quiet part of Lake Garda. Easy to get around the lake after a short walk into Maderno to the ferry port but very little to do in the evenings and there was no bar in the hotel, other than the restaurant. There is a huge camp site next to the hotel...

I stayed in this hotel for four nights, and my overall impression was quite favourable. Pros: friendly staff, beautifully maintained grounds and reception, great location, very nice bathroom, wonderful housekeeping, mini fridge in the room was great Cons: The food was not to my taste and there was limited choice, there were 3 beds in a single room which made...

We were late arriving due to traffic- it took 3 hours from Verona airport, for a 90 min trip;, and when we arrived no one seemed aware that we were coming late; and the reception & communication was poor, although staff did speak English to varying degrees; (so it helps if you have some Italian to get by (otherwise you...

Firstly, probably not a 4star hotel. The reception area is very large and welcoming, the building is very pretty and well maintained. The rooms are quite small (we had a 3 bed room and the 3rd bed was a pull-out and made the room too small. It was old fashioned and could do with a refurb) No tea or coffee...

The hotel is pleasant enough but be prepared for it being a lot bigger than you expect, not the 20 rooms advertised. Food was poor. It was not an evening buffet but almost a school dinner type service, rushed through in a matter of minutes with overcooked food and a very limited portion and choice. Breakfast a little better but...

We have just returned home from this hotel, having stayed here with a Travelsphere group. The hotel itself is a fantastic building with great character. The bedrooms are a little sparse but are clean and adequate with air conditioning. In the restaurant the breakfast buffet was very comprehensive with all you could reasonably wish for. In the evening we had...

We stayed five nights in this hotel in Toscalano Maderno at the beginning of May. It is a large, quirky and attractive hotel, comprising a number of buildings, including the old monastery. It’s set in a peaceful location; a five minute walk through the adjacent campsite to the lakeside promenade, then a further very pleasant 20 minute walk down to...
