My partner and I stayed in the Gatsby for 2 nights. The decor was really cute and the location is great, walking distance to the main shops and beach. Bathroom and kitchen were in immaculate condition and the garden downstairs is lush and very well cared for. The rooms upstairs are all fairly close to each other, and this fact...

We spent 6 nights at the Hello Yellow appartment. We loved the neighbourhood, the restaurants and the shops. But the best was this short walk to Bondi Beach and the Rockpool! The Hello Yellow appartment consist of a lovely living annex kitchen. We did not cook, but it is possible to cook a little something. Quite a small bathroom with...

This is a gem in Bondi. Located perfectly in a leafy street, away from the really busy area but close walking distance to all shopping, cafes and the beach. Nicely decorated, comfortable bed and airy big room. Great private back garden and lovely kitchen area. I loved it and stayed for eight nights! During my stay it was quite full...

Eco should not mean lack of facilities. We were 2 couples and enjoyed the location but we thought it was expensive for 1 bathroom and 2 bedrooms. No towel racks, uncomfortable lounges and minimal lighting. And if you have a car, forget it. Overnight parking is a nightmare.

Thanks for your feedback and for staying with us at the Eco Garden. I'm sorry you didn't find the Eco Garden value for money. The design and aesthetic IS minimal but consciously so; to provide guests with a tranquil uncluttered holiday experience that isn't your typically furnished mainstream hotel. Towel racks are being installed, thanks for raising that as an...

After traveling and partying in Victoria and Southern Australia for a couple of weeks I made my way to Bondi in need of some R&R. Bondi isn't typically the place you'd go for little peace and quiet but that is what I needed and found at the Eco Garden. Set back a block from the top of Bondi's main drag...

I stayed for 7 days at the Ecco Garden, and like the other reviews say, it is more like staying at a friends house while they are away. Liza, the manager is awesome and super friendly, and full of advice if needed. I wanted to add an extra night on and that was no problem though I had to move...

I stayed at Bondi Beach Eco Garden Guest House last weekend and loved it. It is a classic old Bondi house that has been done up with charm and character. I particularly like the Gatsby Room looking out over the back deck and yard, overlooked by giant flowering trees. I didn't mind sharing a bathroom. The whole back yard and...

I stayed here upon arrival, which was sadly a cold and rainy day. Liza the host was great at communicating prior to my arrival (I had a bloody early check in) and I was even upgraded to a bigger room. The house is super cute, clean, and in a great location, just a few blocks from the main 'drag' to...

Absolutely fantastic. Great location, an easy walk to Bondi or bus trip to other eastern beaches. Stayed in the Parker room for a weekend and found it bright and comfortable. Shared bathroom and kitchen facilities made it feel more like a stay in a friend's house than a hotel. Breakfast provided by the in-house chooks and bees a delicious bonus....

Staying in Bondi Beach

Neighbourhood Profile
Bondi Beach
An iconic Australian suburb, Bondi Beach is famous for its fantastic beaches and views. Once the domain of backpackers, hundreds of tourists from all over the world descend en masse to Bondi in December ready to enjoy the "Aussie summer". Bondi Beach boasts impressive ocean views all along the many restaurants and bars on Campbell Parade. Wake up early and take a dip in the surf before walking the scenic stretch from Bondi to Coogee Beach. Stroll through the Saturday organic markets in North Bondi or grab some fish and chips and relax in the grassy area opposite the beach. For more upscale cuisine, head down to Hall Street where a range of new eateries have recently opened. Just make sure to save enough energy for the buzzing nightlife Bondi Beach has to offer.
