Stayed there 3times. It's in a quiet road. You reach everything in a walking distance(supermarket, beach, shops). They provide kitchen.Tv in the rooms.Always lots of people staying there. The price is okay. They close the garden at 10 pm so that you can't sit outside after 10 pm

For just sleeping it is far better value than big hotels around the corner. No frills but beds are comfortable enough. Shared showers and toilets very basic but clean enough. Free wireless access is advertised but I didn't try it so can't comment on ease of access or speed. No tea, coffee or biscuits but most instant coffee is rubbish...

We stayed here for the five days we were in Sydney, arriving at night was daunting, it seemed dark, and dingy and small...however, in day light, it was great ! Shared bathrooms are cleaned enthusiastically, and were always very clean, this is a well run budget hotel, a short stroll from Bondi, and with a good kitchen and eating area....

The receptionist was very blunt and to the point with everything. She didn't give us any guide to where things where in the hostel, just a piece of paper. You could easily get lost in this hostel. The staff where so noisy banging around constantly from 7am. We stayed in a twin room for one night. The room was clean,...

This is the place to stay if you like calm surroundings, easy access to the beach (in 2 minutes!) and a nice safe clean and friendly hostel. There is a small kitchen and a tv room and laundry. A group of Russians run the show and keep the place funky and surreal. Say HI to MILA who cleans the rooms,...

This is our 3rd visit back to Lamrock. If you are looking for a budget hostel but don't fancy sharing with 6-12 people then this is the place to stay. It's perfect if you are on a working holiday, its quiet at night and everyone is pretty respectful of each other. The rooms arent the Ritz, however they are clean...

Lamrock does what it says on the tin! Budget accommodation, clean and tidy. Very friendly staff. Laura will help you with anything. It's a quiet hostel, which is good when you're working. Plenty of showers so you never have to wait. Kitchenette and sink in room too. Have stayed a few times now, it has become my home from home....

Staying in Bondi Beach

Neighbourhood Profile
Bondi Beach
An iconic Australian suburb, Bondi Beach is famous for its fantastic beaches and views. Once the domain of backpackers, hundreds of tourists from all over the world descend en masse to Bondi in December ready to enjoy the "Aussie summer". Bondi Beach boasts impressive ocean views all along the many restaurants and bars on Campbell Parade. Wake up early and take a dip in the surf before walking the scenic stretch from Bondi to Coogee Beach. Stroll through the Saturday organic markets in North Bondi or grab some fish and chips and relax in the grassy area opposite the beach. For more upscale cuisine, head down to Hall Street where a range of new eateries have recently opened. Just make sure to save enough energy for the buzzing nightlife Bondi Beach has to offer.
