The perfect way to start our travels in Belize. Staying with Tom and Marge at Moonracer Farm was more like visiting family than staying at a hotel. Their attention to detail and level of service exceeded that of a 5 star hotel! They advised on local tours and attractions, hand picking the best local guides and services. They are located...

i had been worried about having enough to do being a ways away from san ignacio without the ability to get to and from the town easily. that said, when i arrived in san ignacio for the first time and spent a few hours there (marge was going to pick me up in town later that afternoon), i became grateful...

Moonracer Farm is a lovely little compound in the midst of the Belizean jungle. The guest cabin has two separate rooms, each with private bathroom and porch. We were the only guests during our stay. No electricity, but heavy duty rechargable flashlights were provided. On-demand hot water makes for comfortable showers for all!. I traveled to Belize with my college-age...

We went to stay with Marge and Tom because of their excellent reviews and because they were cheaper than most other lodges around the jungle. By the end of our stay we agreed that even if we came back as millionaires we would take this option again. Our hosts went out of their way to make sure that we had...

Our family spent 3 nights at Tom & Marge's exquisite farm/lodge. Our 3 "adult " children joined us for our family vacation to Belize. Moonracer Farm was like family camp. Daily, our adventures included, private cave tours and horseback riding, swimming in a river below a crystal clear waterfall, and river tubing. Each evening we returned to the farm for...

Marge and Tom made sure all our expectations were met. Not to mention Marge is a great cook and meals are a wonderful experience in a family style setting - dogs included!

Was it the rooms? . . . two queen beds with just enough difference in firmness that you actually have a choice, set in enough space to spread out, surrounded by rustic wood floors and walls, with the sunlight dancing through the Belizean jungle into every corner by day and glowing in the flicker of the oil lamp by night...

My son and my stay at the Moonracer Farm was a memorable experience. Dawn chorus of birds, monkeys and homing nocturnal animals start the day of superbly cooked meals.....ask for 'THE FEATURE' ....your taste buds will think that they have gone to food heaven. Tom and Marge are friendly and generous with their deep knowledge of Belize...the people, maya sites,...

My sister, adult daughter, and I just spent four days and three nights at MoonRacer Farm. We were a little doubtful as Marge drove us through Belize City and then started negotiating the long, rocky road up the mountain in the four-wheel drive truck. She stopped along the way and picked up whoever was walking, making me wonder what I...

My husband and I stayed at Moonracer Farm for our honeymoon in June 2010 and could not have been happier - an absolutely five star experience. The basics: Accomodations: The guest cabin is handcrafted by Mennonites and the furniture was largely made by Tom the owner himself. Beautiful hardwoods, screened porch with a constant pleasant breeze, warm showers. Even with...

“You will be in the jungle/rainforest so your views are of that, and the sounds are those of birds like toucans, mot-mots and parrots.”

“There is only one cabin with two rooms, separate entrances, but close quarters sharing a thin wall between rooms on the inside. They have wifi when they turn it on; it's slow I guess. We didn't use it much. The location is more what it isn't than what it is: natural, environmentally aware, understated brilliance. Look at the guest photos!”

“It is better to take all the lodge if you are a little group or a large family. Sharing the lodge with another couple coulee more annoying since the walls are very thin. This was the only negative point that i can underline.”
