We spent two nights here whilst visiting sites in the local area arriving in the early evening. Luckily we had a driver and guide as I don’t think we could have found the farmhouse by ourselves, being at the very end of a long, bumpy and dusty track. The room we had, which was on the ground floor, was clean... More

Very comfortable place to stay run by a lovely lady who cooks wonderful home made food. There is a large garden with pool and she can arrange excursions to the local sights. A good place to stay especially if you want to get off the beaten track or learn about Tunisian cuisine. Note: serves good wine! But make sure you... More

Horrible (thief ) manager disguised in a classy woman ! I was palnning to spend he weekend there with my husband. I called the owner, Mrs Chennoufi, to ask her about the price and make a reservation. She told me the price and she asked me to pay her right away coz there are lots of people who are asking... More

We were on a tour of several sites in Tunisia staying in four hotels overall. The most delightful stay was at the Dar Chennoufi just outside the ancient city of Le Kef. The hotel set in rural surroundings was quiet and restful with olive and citrus trees in groves around the hotel. With only six rooms it avoids large institutional... More

After staying in other 4-5 star hotels in Tunisia, my wife and I found Dar Chennoufi to be quite different from the other accommodations and a very pleasant place to stay. We had been told by our tour agency that this is the best place of lodging in the area of Le Kef and, based on our stay there, we... More

Most comfortable stay and we were made to feel very much at home. Dinner, served on the patio, was excellent. But when M. Chennoufi asks "And what would you like to drink?" you should be aware that you'll be paying for it in the morning! What niggles is that you'll be paying 4 TD for a bottle of water that... More

I went here a few weeks ago with a friend of mine and Madame Chennoufi could not have been more helpful, hospitable and just lovely. The place was immaculate, full of historical treasures and charm, the surrounding garden/fields made you feel as though you had really escaped and the old town of El Kef was itself fascinating and charming! Honestly,... More

As everybody else has said this really is a very very special place. It's somebody's very special home & we had it to ourselves for one night. And it was bliss from start to finish. Madam Chennoufi knew in advance that my husband was vegetarian so she prepared a veggie feast of food - her Fatima's fingers we'll remember forever... More

I don't think it was just because it was so difficult to find in the dark that when we finally reached Dar Chennoufi amid the orchestral crickets we found it so special. I think it comes also from the sense of being in a family house, which comes not only from the beautiful way it is furnished, and the hauteur... More
