First time, the receptionist was very friendly Kellyann and thorough in her explanation and was ready to clarify any doubts we had. On arrival the bartender Shakira shared the happy hour drink lists. We ordered pina colada which was awesome. Breakfast was good, Vernal brought it to our room a d we were grateful. The staff was so friendly and willing to handle anything. We had one issue which was the internet, but through no.fault.of theirs as it was island wise. They tried to make our stay comfortable as can be. The room is big and the room shower is awesome. Gas station is a stone throw away as well as the supermarket. There is also an emergency medical service across the street.Public transportation is of easy access. My family and I enjoyed our stay and we are hoping to.do it very soon.the price is also.affordable. Keep it up Tropical Sunset!

Small but ideally placed hotel, beachfront with a pool and right next to a bar/restaurant (Zaccio's). Rooms are large and all sea facing. Despite being close to a busy main road in Holetown, little noise can be heard. All in all just one of those places you hope nobody else books before you do!

We really enjoyed our stay at Tropical Sunset. The location is fabulous, being right in the centre of Holetown and next door to Zacchios (a really good bar and restaurant). The supermarket is close by too. All the rooms face the sea and the good sized balcony with an outside light is a great spot to watch the beautiful sunsets. The kitchen has a hob but no oven, a large fridge with a freezer section and plenty of utensils, glasses, etc. I would have liked a kettle rather than a stove top whistling kettle but that's just personal preference. There was also a good handheld hairdryer. Our room on the 3rd floor had a great shower, and when we experienced a leak the staff were very quick to re-silicon around the edge to fix it. The new decking area is great, although as a previous poster stated the regulars were putting their towels down the night before! There is a small pool but plenty of loungers on the beach available if needed. All the staff were really friendly and the place felt very safe and secure. We loved our stay, were very happy with our choice and hope to visit again soon.

Very friendly, welcoming hotel and bar staff (apart from one, older, barman) and good sized, well-maintained, self-catered apartments. My only complaint is regarding the old-fashioned attitude of the “regulars” - who feel their frequent return visits to Tropical Sunset give them the right to police the pool area by reserving all the sunbeds with their towels by 6:00 EVERY day. It’s sometimes one man who goes out and puts the towels down for all his cronies. These then stay empty for several hours. When challenged, one of the “regulars” was aggressive and rude, saying “this is how it works - do one!”. I thought this practice stopped years ago and that people were less selfish these days but clearly not. Some hotels do put up signs to say towels from unattended beds will be removed - I’d suggest that Tropical Sunset does the same as this is the only aspect that spoils an otherwise fab holiday.

This is a small, boutique hotel with medium sized rooms, adequate pool ON the beach and with a HUGE heart! It is not fancy, but casual and clean and the best people working in it from Shontel and others at the front desk, to Curly at the pool and beach. You are always greeted warmly by the ever watchful security men, the housekeeping staff-everyone. One must pass through several security features to access hotel rooms. This makes you feel very secure. The AC works very well! Parking can be tight in lot out front but security will help you. Location is perfect in Holetown. A Massy grocery, bank, gas station across the street. Restaurants , bars and shops all walkable distances. Beach walk to Surfside Bar & Grill, Folkstone Preserve with larger beach, other way is Tides and Beach House restaurants.Easy to drive to tourist sights and other west coast beaches north & south. Limegrove shops are upscale nearby. Chattel Village shops fun and crafts people outside there. We stayed for 5 days over Christmas. Loved our little patio balcony to eat on- table and chairs. They even had a line strung to dry wet bathing items on. Beach chairs and beach towels provided. The small kitchenette comes with microwave, fairly big refrigerator with freezer and stove cook top. (No oven) In room safe. They have dishes, glassware and utensils enough for 4. Had a wine opener, salt & pepper, dish towels, sponge and dish soap, hair dryer and Sunbeam 4 cup drip coffee maker. You need to bring/buy own paper towels, napkins, coffee, pitcher and food items.Shower is large, updated. Right next door on same parking lot is Zaccios restaurant- awesome bar and food- so convenient! TIPS: no real parking lots for area beaches- park on street after you find the Public Beach Access signs.People generally drive fast but friendly. Try to pay with Barbados dollars or credit cards.Chair rentals and umbrella for 3 was 60 Bbds.Use bug spray at 4 or after. Make reservations for all dinners at Christmas time! We really like staying in such a relaxing, casual, friendly place- we'll be back!
